Hey! I think there is an issue with the game I cannot put it in fullscreen and the window is cropped...

Maybe add an exe version of it ?

morepixels 2025-04-08 10:50

To anyone having problems seeing the game, zooming out the window in chrome all the way made it visible for me!

Talking about the game itself, I really loved it but I found some mechanics confusing or poorly explained. Perhaps a tutorial might've helped?

Thanks to @morepixels for the tip about zooming in!

The graphics and audio go really well together to create a sort lonely / forboding feel. It does definitely take a bit of time to figure out how everything fits together but in some ways I think that actually plays as a strength as it sort of adds to the sense of exploration and being on this quest for understanding this strange alien tower.

@doomky I couldn't reproduce the cropping/scaling issue, so I'm not sure if it's fixed, but I tried everything I could think of to make the scaling more flexible. If you get a chance to try again, let me know if you're still having any problems with it!

Thanks for finding a workaround @morepixels!

morepixels 2025-04-08 15:53

@tetrapteryx Yep, the size issue is fixed! Beautiful looking game, and I replayed it and took another look at the instructions! Much easier to understand now that I had some to think about it, and a very fun puzzle game! Amazing atmosphere too!

I really enjoyed the game! Was fun discovering what to do and how to play. Kudos!

slow-chaz 2025-04-08 18:27

Wow this is gorgeous! Very satisfying to click the tiles especially with the SFX. Challenging puzzles, well done!

anton-florey 2025-04-08 18:36

Great game with the perfect amount of levels :) I only got a hang of the game mechanics mid way through, so a tutorial would be nice.

wolfier 2025-04-08 18:40

I liked it a lot, you did a really good job with your art.

I will ask what the point of auto pathing tiles are since they only do things you would of done anyways as there's no penalty to clicking a blank space

tetrapteryx 2025-04-08 19:27

@wolfier Thank you!! Those tiles trigger every adjacent tile, blank or otherwise. I know there's one in level 7 that can blow up the whole level, but that might be the only really dangerous one that made it into the final game.

They're also useful for dramatic reveals, I guess 😅

wolfier 2025-04-08 20:18

oh i didn't know that, I assumed they could only activate itself or the egg.

Nice little puzzle game! I liked all of it, art, audio, idea, mechanics! Only slight issue I had (often the bane of LD puzzle games) was the balance. Level 5 (I think it was--that's my other modest complaint, the level number didn't show on screen during play, only flashed briefly at the end) felt like I solved it on accident or with little brainpower because it was introducing the auto tile mechanic. It happened so quickly I didn't really pick up on what had happened until I happened a few more times in later levels. Maybe you didn't design for the levels to get harder, only more complex, but level 5 felt like I wasn't being challenged with the previous mechanics, only introducing the new mechanic. Even so, I *did* like how you added new mechanics with each puzzle, and the overall design was great.

Really interesting puzzle game! Had fun trying to understand the various tiles and mechanics. Never seen anything quite like it and I think the design of it is really innovative.

scoobysnacks 2025-04-10 08:32

I love the game feel and sound and the simple art, it's fun to click the tiles. But honestly i didn't get the rules.

oadt 2025-04-18 12:44

Wow, this is an interesting puzzle with very abstract rules. But you managed to communicate these rules without an explicit tutorial! The only mechanic I had problems with was the stability. In the last level I went game over quite a while because I of it (and because I wanted way too many scans

At the same time the minimalistic graphics and the great soundtrack produce a nice atmosphere. Great work!

Super fun and yet super frustrating! (in a good way I promise!). I gasped audibly a few times playing. Good stuff :)

verttixpertti 2025-04-23 07:58

Felt like most of the time I was just guessing what would happen but I did manage to beat the game and it had some cool moments for sure
