Cool game! But I think the controls could be improved. Rather than holding shift and interacting with the lever using the mouse, it would be much easier if the player automatically entered mining mode while holding Shift, or maybe the submarine could switch modes when Shift is pressed.
On a side note, give your game a thumbnail (LDjam not itch.io), it will look more interesting (and probably attract more people/reviewer)
The game freezes at the start.
Interesting game, but it was a bit unclear what to do, but i can say the mood and atmosphere are interesting (could even become a horror game maybe!)
Aside from having to hold shift to use the objects, I really liked how the ship and its mechanisms controlled! Maybe I was lucky but it seems like you're able to mine the coral around the shaftway without ever getting attacked by fish? Maybe if the area became increasingly dangerous over time or less coral spawned there it would force the player to venture out.
I could see this being increasingly stressful and hilarious if it were expanded a little more. Good work!

The game froze the first time I started it, but it worked after refreshing the page. Having to hold shift and clicking on the lever to change modes was annoying. Oxygen drains far faster than I could replenish by drilling the corals. I managed to escape (just) but it doesn't really allow for much exploration, which I imagine is why you would be in the situation in the first place. I only saw one fish and it murdered me before I could respond.
The core mechanics are good. This could be a fun game if expanded further. Perhaps mining for resources, and being more dangerous the further out you go.

You truly deserve some more plays/reviews!
As the others mentioned, the game stutters vehemently when first at times, probably because you are instancing/playing particles for the first time (Consider playing all particles on the main/loading menu one time without sound and behind the canvas so they are loaded into memory. This prevents the stutter when they are played in game)
I died pretty much instantly the first attempt and then quickly the second. Some people will give up at that point, but after re-reading the instructions I did get it and beat the game. A short tutorial of sorts makes this process alot more smooth, but I get that time is valuable in these jams and you probably didn't have any for one.
Once I got how it worked it played surprisingly well. Perhaps you could lower/remove the amount of nearby coral to force the player to wander a bit more into the dark zone.
All in all good game, not everyone tries to tackle 3D in a jam but you guys managed it just fine :)
Hmmm, I get a strange bug where my camera wont stop turning?
