Ooh this was a lot of fun, I lost track of time playing over and over! Love the feel and the aesthetic, especially the drift marks.
Couple thoughts: - The tire screeching sound got old pretty quickly, maybe add some variety? Or least don't play it as often - Turning was a bit too sensitive for my liking
Still, great job!

I love the art style and minimalist color palette!
Unfortunately, the game would randomly freeze for me, so I couldn't play it for more than 15 seconds (not sure why that is... maybe the networking aspect?)
The leaderboard aspect was ambitious and I think that is super cool!
Loved the graphics, the music but I'm really bad at this kind of game lol, I didn't get very far despite the time I invested.

Fun to play but I suffered from skill issue lol. Unfortunately, on the web version, the first time drift particles appear causes a ~20 second lag spike which was pretty annoying :(
i don't know why, but the web version freezes when i press A also can't launch desktop version: "couldn't load project data" error

I LOVE this! I'm bad at it? Sure! But it was so much fun and the idea is really interesting and well executed. Felt like trying to park at the mall during the holiday season!

Funny game idea, stylish art, thanks, it was fun
@scoobysnacks @zedgame @dhdorr Thank you for your feedback. We made the drift/smoke particles an opt-in option now, to prevent the freeze issue.
The desktop version should now also work.

@sparrowson No worries btw, it's a common Godot issue haha. What you're apparently supposed to do is "preload" the particles at game start by displaying them anywhere for at least a frame at the beginning of the game.

Nice graphics and gameplay. The car is too sensitive for my liking. I crash too often and it seems like it's the game's fault.

I'm usually not a fan of racing games, but it was kind of cool! I do have skill issues though, so I haven't been able to find that sweet spot where you keep improving and start beating all levels haha!
I like the tile set and the level design is pretty interesting! The fact that the track branches to different levels is a nice touch. If I understand correctly, these are user-made levels that are "patchworked" together procedurally? It works well!
Here are a few suggestions: * Reduce turn sensitivity. I found myself often "tip-tapping" instead of "long-pressing" the buttons, which would feel more like drifting. * Change the collision of the left/right level transitions. It felt a bit unintuitive to have the "sideways" stairs obstacles whereas everything else is top-down. (I know it needs the visual effect of going down, but there should be a way to design it without impacting gameplay)

Love the Hilbert's Hotel reference! The Gameboy colour palette but with the pop of the different colour on the player car works super well. Great fun! Managed to get to 42 on the board but had to accept my goal of breaking into the top 10 was probably a bit beyond me  Capture.PNG
That was cool! Really polished and fun! Only critique would be that it feels like its missing some difficulty ramp-in. I was stoked that i could reach level -6. How the heck are the top scores in the 200s? 😅

Steering and speed boost are a bit too sensitive. Together with limited visibility most of the time I just had to drive blindly and hope for the best :) Aesthetics is great, I like the leaderboard, in general very enjoyable game!

@banderander We also have no idea how he pulled that of, the weirdest part is that guy was simultaniously actively playing D&D with some of us while he got the record.
@prvaak The trick is to realize there are only around 18 different levels and half of them are just flipped verions of the others. Then you just have to find a good strategy for all of them.
Fun to see another team that thought of Hilbert's Hotel! <3 Brilliant as a theme for an endless runner style game  Well done on the execution!
