Very cool idea!
Welcome to the wonderful world of Game Dev! I hope you've enjoyed developing your game as much as I have enjoyed developing mine.
That said, let's move onto the game itself. I like the detail you put in the magnifying glass where when you hover over the ants it actually zooms in.
Overall pretty short but fun game, as the ants will quickly swarm the ice cream faster than you can burn them.
Looking forward to seeing more of your stuff in the future!
P.S. In GDScript, calling `get_tree().reload_scene()` would cause the scene to reload itself. You can use this for your restart button next time!
thank you! I think that is what I was trying to use but I will take another look.
🔥 Very cool idea! Manipulating the magnifying glass and burning ants is fun and dynamic! 🐜 🔍 Details like magnifying the ants through the magnifying glass create a cool atmosphere. The game is short but addictive - the ants quickly surround the ice cream, and you feel like a real savior of sweets! 🍦💥
Great job for 5 hours of development! 🎮🚀
Pretty brutal, but the idea is awesome
This is a pretty awesome project to have started, especially when you're learning! You've got a lot of basics in there to iterate this game to anything else, so congratulations on completing your project. Simplicity is sometimes the best!
It felt really satisfying to scorch the ants with the magnifying glass and it was overall fun game that's really on theme. I wish I could've saved that ice cream though!
Excellent application of the theme, really impressed with the magnifying glass effect, genuinely still not sure how you managed that in such a short space of time!
congratulations on your first Godot project! I also really respect your honesty on the game over screen.
That's a fun game ! Congrats for making it complete and alone
Great work for 5 hours! I bet you learned bunch of godot while at it. Would be fun to have a trail of smoke and charred grass left behind the magnifying glass  Great work!
OMG YES
This got me so nostalgic xD I remember a time when flash games were at it's peak. Honestly, even the most simple games could be entertaining for hours. This game made me think of that :')
And for 5 hours... I know it's a simple game. But you got something going as a developer
I agree, it feels like the good old flash games! Great entry for 5 hours, could have been much better if you had more time. :D
Too bad we can't do anything after a while because even if we react instantly we can't win. :(
For 5 hours in a new engine, you did pretty well! You stuck to the theme and did a decent job. I hope to see more LD entries from you in the future!
It's clean, even more so for a game made in 5 hours while learning a new engine!
