Nice atmosphere, i wasn't able to pick up the items. Not sure what the controls were as the starting screen was out of frame for me. Might be worth adding some more info on your Ludum Dare page.

Cute voodoo doll character, and cool atmosphere. i was able to pick a key but havent found where to put it. is box interactive?
Very cute game, the character design reminds me of Sackboy from LBP, honestly super lovely to get that nostalgia! I think you have a great concept, given some more polish I could see this being a very fun and hectic game :) Some things I noticed: Some models have no textures, puddle to the left of the stairs has a cube grid texture, a plank of wood past the right side door on the first floor has no texture, you can see outside of the map on the room on the left on the second floor.
I also think the game would really benefit from some "Coyote Time", you probably know the term already, but just an extra .4 seconds or so where you can jump after you walk off a ledge. This would be particularly beneficial as the camera angle makes it hard to judge when you are no longer on the floor. That brings me to my next point, the camera angle is a little jarring at times, I think it's a great choice to use this perspective as it brings out the manic energy of the game, but I think removing the ability to look downwards would help, just keeping it vertically fixed. I think it would also be nice to get some different perspectives on the player character, something like 8 different directions the sprite faces, depending on where you looked. I think that would be very awesome! Although I totally understand why you only have the two perspectives given the jam time limit. It looks good the way it is though, I think it's a super cute design.
I also feel it was too confusing to figure out I needed to use the shears on a hidden rope, I only managed to solve that puzzle due to sheer luck and ramming into random things. Overall this is one of the best games I've played this jam, I hope you make more like it :)
That was something! Really liked it! At first I really struggled with understanding how to interact with things and what exactly I need to bring to the altar. For some reason I though that skull will attack me at some point :D But when i understood that I can grab items with mouse click I was immediately hooked! First I managed to find 3 items and was stuck again for some time until I realized that you can use keys too! I received a lot of emotions playing your game, really liked the exploration of the levels and this feel that time is running out. Plus main character is very pretty and really like the style! Some "How to play" is definitely needed. Really good work!
Agreed @sharky3188 this game needs some more info on how to play. Cool atmosphere and the music pairs nicely with it
I did it! Somehow. Wow, that was intense.
At first I was very confused. I'd gotten stuck after getting the shears. Twice I'd managed to do the right thing with it, but I wasn't sure because the rope/branch graphic was subtle and I noticed there was a hole in the wall with something behind, so I thought I'd just clipped the shears through the wall and lost them down the hole. I tried for a while to jump through the hole to no avail. Eventually I tried pushing the furniture downstairs and found the right way into the chandelier room.
The graphics are quite nice and the character and the important pickups being 2D was a nice touch. Maybe the keys and the shears should've been 2D too but of course it helps that the totems are unique. The interactable items being physics-based was a double-edged sword I feel. It was great to be able to drop them down from the balcony and stay upstairs, but they also kept getting stuck on things which was annoying. Only the crates really needed to be physical.
The music is great and really underlines the hecticness of it all, and the character's running animation fits it perfectly. The title screen music is very pretty too. I see you opted out of the audio category so I assume you didn't make the two tracks, but good picks! :)
Great atmosphere and setting, cute character, fun to play, just lacks polish I feel. The mouse sensitivity was way up for me, so a setting inside the game would've been nice. I feel there should probably have been some more sound effects for feedback. Not sure about the point of the staircase collapsing; it's a great set piece but either you're done upstairs and it doesn't change anything, or you're not done and so you just have to restart anyway… P:
Overall I think you did a great job and that you could fix these issues after the jam if you wanted to continue to work on it! :) I'm glad I found confirmation that I was doing the right thing with the shears in the comments, or I probably wouldn't have been able to finish the game. I did have a lot of fun during my last few attempts where I knew exactly what I needed to do, and just had to make it in time.
