I love Sokobans and this is a beautiful and innovative addition to the genre. Congratulations on such a strong first-ever jam entry! The summoning mechanic to switch characters reminds me of early Keke levels in Baba is You.

One thing I would love to see added is a level counter up by the level name. I know there are 19 levels, but what level am I on? (I'm on the garden maze level and plan to come back to it after I've slept off the LDjam brain.) Perhaps you can post a text list in the description since it's too late to add it to the game?

Great work!

Whoah! This is you first jam? Well, I'll say, you did a heckintastic job!! Not only you made puzzle game, but 19 ish levels of it too! A lot of the levels are well made and teaches us new mechanics well too! I love the lil wizard and his golems.

Once again, good job on your first jam! :D

Thanks for the feedback!!

@monika I have included a list of levels in the description now. You can also return to the title menu and see your progress (if auto-save is working). I hope this help!

This is a highly polished game! Great take on the theme and an interesting twist on a classic.

The great game! I've already seen several sokoban-style games, but this is the best implementation of the summoning theme. Good job!

Good take on block pushing puzzles, being able to summon different guys from around obstacles really adds a lot of depth and the puzzles were satisfying to complete. Great job!!

Very impressive first jam submission, the levels are well crafted I kinda struggled to understand how to switch control between the golem and the wizard at first, a reminder on screen would be nice I also had a single tiny bug, sounds of moving rocks were playing when I was moving my cursor over the rocks !

civ92 2024-04-17 17:59

Fantastic game ! Had me hooked until the end ! I had one bug on the very last puzzle where my wizard could go trough the big rocks ! Only the audio got me crazy :D would have loved a relaxing music or something on the background !

treefds 2024-04-17 18:54

Thanks everyone for all the nice feedback!!

@pandalk Thanks for the suggestion, adding a reminder would certainly be helpful! About the sound system, it was rushed out the last minute, so there might be many bugs :( I will try to fix them if possible.

@civ92 Thanks for pointing out the bug! I will fix it later. And yes I agree adding music would be nice! In retrospect I should have added free music instead, but back then I really wanted to write original music (which I don't have time or experience for). I'll learn to do better next time ;D

civ92 2024-04-17 19:39

@treefds Understandable about the music, and in the end I'd rather have you set no music than put a random one :) The content you propose here and the general balance of the game is already quite impressive for a 3 days work !

It's a very adorable game! Loved the puzzles and it feels very complete, overall a solid game. You've put a lot of passion into it, great work!

I had fun with this game! I thought it was really cute. All things considered, for as much as you say you struggled with the deadline, I think you did a great job with harnessing the stress to your advantage; the dialogue does a lot to make the game feel livelier, and I felt like the ending was pretty elegant, too (really, a lot of submissions don't even have endings). Would love to see more work from you in the future!
