Really liked the game! Hope you make lots more in the future!
The game idea is interesting, good job!
I had a hard time understanding what the game loop was. The waves were seemingly ending out of nowhere and I didn't understand what my summons were doing. Great art however. Good job!
neat idea! It would be nice to see the cooldowns on the summons. Well done!
wow, i really like this game! i wish you good luck in the future, because you are doing great work!
The game seems to work, but alas it clearly lacks the feedback needed to enjoy discovery and in good condition, feedback on unit attacks, the number of units you can summon, enemy lives! you're almost there, it was a pleasure to discover your game. keep up the good work!
First of all the art is great! However I do have some nirpicks, the overall gameplay I understoon quite quickly with the ingame "Keys" menu, however it'd be great to see which summon I have selected and its cooldown as well as Wave Timer (seeing how many enemies I have to defeat). Other than that it's a great game, especially for a solo dev, good work!
Art is awesome and theres potential here! Few bits of feedback: game could be more clear - theres no indication of what my minions were doing and sometimes it wouldn't place when clicking. Controls were a bit unconventional with right click being the main use button but control screen was there so I didn't have to button mesh :D
Fun little defense game! I had some fun. Nice music!
Hi, music made me laugh when i realised it was We Three Kings. Pixel art was great and the concept was really good. Controls messed me up a little as it says right click to summon and it is actually left click. Also probably needs to show the cooldowns and the summons and how long left in the wave. Maybe also some feedback on the summons/enemies when they are hit. However great entry Well Done!
Nice game! I think there's a strong overall structure/idea to the game that fits the theme well. The art is consistent, and the animations bring life to the gameplay. The music is also simple, making it easy to listen to repeatedly, yet also fitting.
In terms of the gameplay and the controls, it was a bit confusing at first for two reasons:
1) The "Keys" menu says to right-click to summon an ally, but I believe it's actually left-click.
2) In the WebGL/itch screen, when not in fullscreen, the player can't see the UI on the bottom-right, which I think is a pretty significant feature of the game. Regardless, I could kind of figure out what Q did, so it wasn't too big of a deal, but it's still important info for the player to have. What I'm guessing could fix this is using anchor point instead of position to set the location and size.
The village area is a nice start and has great potential for further development. Enemies could target houses or break down walls, for example. I will say it may be better to only have 2 summoner sprites on the field, one for each type of creature, or to have a separate player sprite that summons the creature. I was expecting there to be a total possible summon count of 4 given the 4 summoners.
Overall, the idea is clearly portrayed, and the art is particularly pleasing. Thumbs-up from me!
Classic idea of a defense game with some minions by your side. The execution was good, I don't have to go over the same things that the other comments already mentioned.
Since I've always been a part of a team in Ludum Dare, I have plenty of respect towards you to pull off the music, game design and this beautiful tile set within the given time limit! As much as I love candy for the eye I'd say as some constructive feedback: The flow of the game is more important at the end of the day, meaning more indicators or hints that help the player what exactly could be happening, might have been great.
Good game overall and thanks for playing our entry!
What a fun game! I had a great time playing it! It's also very humorous, and the game design is magnificent! Everything is well-integrated. I would love to see your own assets (music and graphics) in future games, but for a first entry in Ludum Dare, it's outstanding. I see you're just a few points shy of reaching 20 ratings, why not rate other games to boost your karma? You're almost there, come on! And by the way, great game!
Interesting idea with great graphics
I enjoyed winning the game even though I didn't really understand what was going on :)
I like audio but unfortunately I can not rate your game by audio
