I didn't get hit with any scares but I was tense the whole time.

Is it just 4 dark rooms with an object in them?? I must say I didn't enjoy this game at all. My laptop had issues running the game also. The only thing that could be said in your favour is the voice intro, which is very atmospheric.

@kr0meel yes, this is just 4 rooms with objects in them. I tried to make some player exp with tension in that like really horror. Issues with perfomance I think caz I used UE5 and there graphic settings for max by default. Maybe graphic settings will be not excess. At all thx for feedback

@karlthecool In fact, I was excepted that at first level. I thought about add new levels with much more difficult, but In fact I planned published like compo, but super comfortable git interface and about 1GB code at all made their job. Also this more for story writing practice

The idea is okay, but sadly I can't hear what is said, and I am not sure why I died. It tried to move the objects back to there right spot, but maybe I was not fast enough.

I didn't really know what was going on, audio was quite unclear but I was definitely tense while trying to figure out if/what was happening to the exhibits :open_mouth:

@jk5000 @jamieok Could you tell more about audio issues? Main task in the game is follow, that all objects in their places. There is has timer and after it over you die.

Nothing really happened in my playthrough and then there was a box. Sorry, I didn't get it.

mallok-studio 2023-05-04 13:30

Cool idea, but there are a few issues. First I didn't understand the audio at the beginning, then you would have to add some tension as time goes by (some sound-design like a heartbeat, a flashing light or some camera effects). And maybe add some events to break the repetitiveness. Otherwise the idea of the museum is good if it is a little more developed :)

asasin56 2023-05-05 06:11

@bastilo I thought audio will be clear, but smth went wrong...

@mallok-studio Thanks for feedback . In fact by last mins, I tried to add some sfx but then decide to cut them(caz no time to test it). I really liked idea with sfx by time changing and will use that in next horrors.

My courage is not very strong, so I couldn't play for a long time. But this just proves that the game really creates a very tense atmosphere. Well done!

asasin56 2023-05-06 05:05

@yuriscat Thanks for feedback! I tried to make this tensed, but didn't except, that will be so tensed

yuriscat 2023-05-06 05:13

@asasin56 You did a great job, and I look forward to your future works.

This game was definitely tense. The weird noises and the dark room immediately create an unsettling atmosphere. The museum objects where just simple shapes now, but if these we actual weird alien things it may have been even more scary I think. As for the gameplay, it was not so clear what the goal was. I tried to put each object on the pedestal with the corresponding image, but nothing seemed to happen when I did that :/ Also, during the voice audio in the beginning I did not know what to do. Maybe because I could not really hear what the voice was saying. Anway, really solid submission! I think you definitely achieved to make something a bit scary. Well done :D

asasin56 2023-05-07 01:09

@wuppos Thanks a lot for feedback! So, for now, I put main goal in the description and think it will become little bit clear

I thought it was interesting spin on the FNAF formula. Definitely had a creepy atmosphere for such a simple entry and the audio clip from the employer was a nice touch. I think packaging as a RAR file may not have been the best choice as everyone does not use WinRAR. Overall a very interesting jam entry, looking forward to seeing what you come up with in the future!
