really great
Thanks @jyogeet, we are happy you like it!
Very cool concept! Great game overall!
The poiéins look cute and it is fun to place terrain with them and combine them! I'm not exactly sure what the goal of the game is, however.
I feel like the 'grabby tool' should always be directly above the mouse, so clicking on the dudes will always be enough to grab them. It feels weird to click on them and then realize the grabby tool was several feet behind the guy. I enjoyed making various landscaped and combining the dudes, but it didn't really feel like there was an end goal besides fill every plot of land. I wish there were some more combinations too, or at least some checklist so I know I found them all. I love the look of the poieins, and the animations are friggin' adorable. nice work!
@undev-games Thanks! We are happy you like the concept and thanks for the nice comment!
@saskle thanks for you nice comment. You are right about the goal.
The aim of the jam was first to try out this mechanic and game feel, which we are happy about! Then, we designed a win-and-lose condition that we didn't have time to implement, unfortunately. The goal is once you discover all the elements, you unlock an analyzer that tells you the state of the environment you created. Each element impacts the other like a rock-paper-scissor, then you have to carefully place the element to create an optimum environment.
For now, you just have to fill all the tiles to your liking and have an end message. Then you can replay and do another environment.
@100th-coin Thanks for your nice comment! You are right, as I explained above the goal for this jam is more contemplative and sandbox. We want to finish the game to have the mentioned goal but as you can imagine the time management was essential and we focused on the chore mechanic with some variation.
What have we done with our planet...
Soo many slimes at some point, but really fun core gameplay loop. Reminds me of slime rancher. It was sometimes a bit hard to pick up the right one and I wasn't really sure how to progress towards an end goal. Loved the graphics!
@mysticaldev thanks for your comment! The goal is to create your own environment! But we will work on an updated version later on with a clearer objective ;)
It's nice to finally try the game after following its development during the WE :) ! I enjoyed the mood, the audio and the graphics! I didn't really know what was the goal of the game though, but overall it gave me good vibes of slow-paced games where the world starts to work autonomously on its own! This was already mentioned but I agree that the grab tool should act exactly at the location where we click. Curious to see how this could evolve into a full-featured post-jam game, good job!
The atmosphere of this game, set by the audio and the graphics, are great and very relaxing. But yeah, I wasn't sure what I was supposed to be doing. Also, sometimes I could combine like a blue and a red guy into one tile, but sometimes it didn't work? Not really sure why.
Thanks @hungryroy we really appreciate it! You can combine only 2-time max on the same tile. Sometimes there are two many slimes/poieins on a tile and don't work well indeed. Hope it will help!
This is a really clever idea and the graphics look great :-)
Even though the animation isn't very smooth, the art still makes these Slimes look great.
This game strongly reminds me of Slime Rancher. Maybe it would be more in accord with the theme to harvest slimes for money!
over all it is a great game!
cute and a pretty cool idea. the cuteness must be sacrificed!
Thanks @thyoi ! I don’t know slime ranch I’ll have a look. Here the Harvest is to harvest the slime and create new biomes that will also generate new slimes to be harvested. Like a circle of life 😉
Thanks @treenut let’s say merge and combine 😅
Graphics look nice, the game is pretty relaxing. I didn't really understand what to do except merging these little creatures but overall i liked it
Thanks @nathanhd then you get it, it’s a sandbox where you create your own environment to “recreate” life as each poieins represent an elemental: earth, water, fire etc.
