It seems like it could be a good game, but I was just confused by all of the mechanics. It seemed to just throw the user in without any explanation or help. Having the system written out in the description helped, but the game overall was too confusing for me.

How to control it...great notifications...but when i try build smt - nothing hapend P.S. nevermind...try again and everything worked

Took a bit to realize how to get started but that was really fun. The risk/reward of buying from the guild is a nice touch. The difficulty ramped up a bit too quickly but it also fit nicely into the theming. I especially liked the flavor text and in and out of game.

lautilaj 2022-10-04 02:05

It was a little confusing. I didnt understand very well what i have to do. Come and se my game!

picusbgames 2022-10-04 02:06

Not bad :) Is the path to victory just fast placement? The way the taxes goes up seems fast and linear?

fireslash 2022-10-04 02:07

Agree that more instructions would be useful. I was able to stumble my way through, but I don't quite understand how to optimize my strategy.

jon-curtin 2022-10-04 02:12

Great idea, I like that it runs well on the phone

austin 2022-10-04 02:19

Mister Mayors,

Thank you for playing! I agree that the mechanics could be explained much better. I will seek to improve these for you!

noahshomette 2022-10-04 03:55

A fun and simple little strategy game, I definitely enjoyed playing, I wish there were more buildings and more options to what I could do to make resources however what you had was interesting. Was definitely kinda confusing when I just jumped into it the first time but after I stopped and read the description it all made sense. I enjoyed playing it!

Really neat little game and I love the simplicity of it! I agree with others that it's a little confusing at first, even when following the written guide (I'm still not sure what's causing the counsel to role up and pull me from being Mayor). Think it could benefit from a clearer U.I., as it's not super obvious at first what's clickable and what isn't, and what certain buttons and actions do. But, when it _is_ figured out, I find it to be a pretty fun and addicting little game! Great job overall.

p.s. It's really great to see you're still doing these, bud :) -Andrew

Awe thanks Andrew! I am still needing to try yours out as well! I hadn’t been on here in a while and saw you still doing the jams. Made me happy to see!

Very cool game! I love its simplicity in its design & fundamentals. At first, I felt a bit confused with where to place the goods I was receiving, but that was easy to pick up after playing it shortly. Also, maybe having a deeper written guide & helpful popup tips as you play could be beneficial to help bring new players up to speed.

On another note, I can see money management being a big aspect as you get deeper into your towns lifespan. With this in mind, I think being able to purchase Tier I goods (& future goods) in bulk, based on the total amount of money you have accumulated, would be a good quality of life feature for players. It could be helpful instead of having to individually purchase goods for a larger city with much higher demand.

Overall, this is a very fun & unique game. I really enjoyed playing it. :)

Thanks for your feed back! Glad you enjoyed it after the initial confusion :)

austin-sierra 2022-10-05 00:04

I enjoy the Tile management of this game and it is a unique twist on the theme! Did not think people could do strategy so well like you did

austin 2022-10-05 00:16

Thanks! It is my favorite genre and it is hard for me not to make them haha.

shogeku 2022-10-05 00:43

Good tile management, but little instructions. Double clicking everything wasn't very intuitive, but I loved that your game took my entire browser width automatically. Figured out i could buy things from the box and it gave me a lot of resources.

eugenik 2022-10-05 02:42

nice game!.

paul-avallone 2022-10-05 05:05

Was a little confused at first but I figured it out. I wish things progressed a little faster. Music and sound would be nice. I like the bar movement visual. Good job.

reax 2022-10-05 16:45

Tried it a few times but I couldn't manage to build anything. Not sure what the loading bars do? I'll try it again if you add some instructions.

austin 2022-10-05 17:04

@reax there is some instruction underneath the game. After reading that does it somewhat help? I tried my best to explain it though there are a bit of moving parts that can be confusing. I tried to put more visuals in before the end that would help convey what was going on, but time is precious and I ran out of it. Let me know if those instructions were not updated better and I will delve into it some more.

redneb 2022-10-05 20:11

I still haven't figured out how to play. I plan to return to the game later, as I love strategies. At first glance it should be interesting. Good job.

austin 2022-10-05 20:39

@redneb I plan on updating the directions again to help players get in to the game. Would a video of play help? I will see what I can do today.

reax 2022-10-06 00:50

@austin Somehow I completely missed those instructions. I was looking for instructions on the LD page.

reax 2022-10-06 01:10

@austin Have now tried it again a bunch of times. It became more fun with time once I learned the mechanics. I don't really have any complaints. I definitely think it has potential if you continue the development.

substain 2022-10-06 06:08

Nice entry, would love to see this with more tile options / resources.

coda-highland 2022-10-21 02:51

The button to draw more tiles never said anything but 0, and for whatever reason it wasn't letting me put stuff down sometimes and I had to reload the page to make it work. It's an interesting concept that's very on-theme, and I could see it being very enjoyable with some more UX polish.
