There was some nice pixel art! The paddle/controller was also very responsive to the target. However, it was rather unclear what needed to be done.

You are supposed to stop your pet fly from getting "zapped" by the bug zapper. I didn't finish though. this is my first game jam ever sooooooo it wasn't that good, and very unfinished/bad.
..
overall, it's not very clear what to do, and alt f4 isn't the best way to exit, as well as no audio present. however, for your first jam, nice job. i like the concept of delaying your fly from getting zapped, and it's kinda funny how it is so determined to die- i mean rest on the bug zapper. not one of my faves, but it does have it's strengths, as it was very innovative, and kinda funny as well
For some reason, it was surprisingly fun to just paddle around the fly. Good first jam :D
Seria legal se viessem varias moscas e você tivesse que impedir elas de encostar no troço, dai você perderia quando uma encostasse e contabilizaria o tempo numa tabela de records
Hey, great job for your first try. It's too bad you didn't get to finish. It would help a lot to put the game objective in the description so we know what we're trying to do. Keep programming, your games will get better as you get more practice!
@sheldonzs THANK YOU. I am in great appreciation of that. I worked hard, so thank you for actually PLAYING my game
@profugo-barbatus thanks! I really appreciate that you actually like it.
@jozgames Obrigado por jogar o meu jogo! significa muito para mim que as pessoas realmente jogaram meu jogo! :)
That has got to be the cutest idea made reality by a child. This SCREAMS "idea of a child" but not even I could do this and I am 25 years old. This was a pretty cool alternative to other games!
First of all, congratulation on your first game for a Ludum Dare :) Welcome to the community! About the game. Do not worry that you didn't have time to finish your game. Most people didn't have time to implement all of what they wanted. That is the trick with limited time, you need to cut things out and sometimes not finish some in-game mechanics :) The art style is nice, and the idea is quite unique. The paddle controls feels good too.
Since you are starting, I will limit suggestions to this: get Sfxr (or Bfxr, or ZzFX). Those are simple sound effects maker, free softwares. You can make sound effect for your game in few minutes with those.
And one more thing about your Ludum Dare game page. Always add description what your game is about, what tools you used and controls. Even if this will be something as simple as: Action - Mouse or Tools Used: Unity. It's adding a lot to the presentation of your page.
Anyway. Good job with your first game!
@zimny11 I actually use beepbox to make music, but I do not know about sound effects. Btw Thanks! Knowing that people that are good at what I want to be good at said that my game was good, really makes me happy!
@manio Thanks! I may say though, my mom helped with the Idea, so it was not entirely me. I also used a lot of YouTube videos for the code. Thanks for the positive feedback though!
not bad :)
@bios3008 Thanks!
Good job submitting in time for the deadline! Obviously the game is unfinished but the gameplay you submitted is promising.
You got the fly to move towards the zapper, and the fly swatter to collide with the fly properly, although it doesn't make much sense why you would use a fly swatter if you're trying to protect your pet fly.
Maybe change the swatter to a hand, or something weird like a Q-tip to make it more interesting. You could also try to create some mechanic where you can swat near the fly and it will fly away temporarily so that you don't have to drag it away on your own. And a score counter to count how long you managed to keep the fly alive.
Again, great job on submitting in time and keep practicing game development! in a few years you'll be releasing some awesome games
Great start here, keep it up!
There is nothing on your Itch.io page - bad request ???
