That was beautiful! The overall aesthetic and feel of the game was top notch. The art and the animations are so nice. The gameplay itself was interesting, I liked the mysteriousness. It took me quite a lot of tries to "win", but I stuck with it and it felt great to see that light at the end of the tunnel :). The attacks when the heart beat sound effects were quite hard and I found the best strategy to be to ignore most of the attacks and just dodge them instead of parrying. When trying to parry every attack I got overwhelmed by the amount of homing projectiles near the end.
I also still don't know if the map is randomly generated or if it is not and you start on a random place on it, which helped the "mysteriousness". I felt like I recognized part of the map after a few tries but that might just have been a feeling.
This game deserves a lot of praise! Playing such a nicely polished, well crafted game just feels good :). Great, great job!
I love the lighting and the art style. I think I hit a few control issues though.
My assumption was that the dash only works twice for each time you "parry" one of the floating lights, but I had no idea that was a rule in the game so I thought it was broken at first.
I was also confused about the "parry" mechanic. I spent a bit of time trying to figure out why it was telling me to "parry" in the tutorial. Maybe clearing up the rules a bit would be better. I couldn't get past the tutorial phase sadly because I was mainly confused.
Overall, good work on getting it done. I would love some explanation on how the mechanics work because I want to try it again.
It took me a long time to beat the game, but I did ! Graphics and animations are really great (especially at the end !) and did a lot !
Also, did I miss something with the "lights" ? I thought that will permit to end the game but on my runs it seem to do nothing (also, no need to use dash to pass through obstacle like in tuto :( )
And... what is the number at the end when we die ? First times I thought that is the distance to the ... objective, but I had a high number at the real ending, so...
Anyway, that's a really good entry !
@tygrak --- Indeed, the map is randomly generated! It enforces the feeling of getting lost in familiarity and its mystery, as we intended. Glad you found your technique when reaching the end~ Thank you so much for playing and giving your experiences about it!
@thegameoverguy --- It's called a parry for a reason, actually! It makes more sense in the full game. I might swap out the dialogue over a bit though, because you're supposed to know the dash-parry rule after you dashed through the river. *"...But only if the light gifts you from your touch."* I see I need it before you even dash now. Thanks for the feedback~!
@loiclegrosfrere --- The dash is related to the lights! I know the numbers are supposed to be vague, but the blue one is the distance, and the purple one is the time taken to reach in the current run. Thank you very much for making it~

The game looks gorgeous! The lighting and the sound effect are also really cool, and I like the whole set up of the game. Either, the game is quite hard or I'm just bad at this :P Great job!
the game looks very cool. good job!
