Unfortunatelly, I couldn't really figure out what to do. I've found a key, but nothing happens to the doors: I tried pressing [E] while looking at the door and having the key in my inventory, tried holding the key in the air and pushing it into the door. I also couldn't do the chemical mixing: I think I've found the lab equipment (big black apparatus hidden behind some boxes, right?), but, again, nothing happens if I put flasks on it, in it, etc.

The visuals, sounds & atmosphere in general are very nice, looks like a promising game!

I like the idea of mixing potions to avoid death, though the game kept adding years no matter which flasks I put in the lab.

Survived 293 secconds, I was looking for some kind of hint towards wich color combinations would be good. Maybe there were but i could not find it. Very well made, nice ambience, good job.

For those trying this game, the lab equipment is behind the door. Only one of the door works with the key, and you open it by kinda rubbing the key against the knob.

I then put two flasks on what I assume to be the lab equipment, and the game crashed :(

I liked the movement and finding all the flasks hidden around the map.

to some extent looks interesting . But the topic is loosely connected and it is not clear .

So i managed to play until my eventual death by simply running around putting flasks in various places and tossing the key at all the doors a few times. I tried equipping the key to open the door to no avail but i must admit i did not try rubbing the key against the knob.. which one comment suggested. Overall i think it's a decent submission with some nice mechanics in place but could do with some better guidance for the player. The sound and atmosphere were very nice though so good job on that front

@anchry Thanks for the feedback! Did you find the instructions (in the description at the top) vague? Should those instructions rather have been put in the game?

azambie 2022-04-05 14:03

@sega23333 I see, thanks for you feedback

azambie 2022-04-05 14:04

@toc sorry about that(the crashing) xd. Thank you for telling me though. I'll try to fix it!

anchry 2022-04-05 15:30

@azambie I think the biggest issue for me was the lack of clear feedback on how to use the key and where to use it, its clear that it leads to one of the three doors but there is no clear way of using it on the door as there are no indicators on how to do it. Also something i forgot to mention before it was really nice to see a 3D project coming from Godot, really exciting to see how the 3D engine is coming along there!

azambie 2022-04-05 15:40

@anchry Oh ok, thanks for telling me!

Great game! I do wish there were some more detailed instructions, such as where the door is. Once I found the door and figured out how to brew potions, though, it was great! I especially liked the sound effects; they were realistic and added well to the mood.

@thefatgalaboo Ah ok. Thanks for playing and for the feedback!

I initially got really confused on what I was doing-it turned out I had skipped the first step of unlocking the door which was why I couldn't find out where to put the flasks. I wonder if some sort of objective displayer on the UI that was constant would be a good idea (to show people that the very first step is to unlock the door, as I was busy trying to remember the different flask combinations). Some objects I was carrying phased through the wall accidentally because of how close I was to it (Goodbye, white flask. I'll miss you.). It was satisfying when I first got a combination, right, but I feel like the years removed should be a little more generous, as a little more incentive to collect and combine the flasks. When I saw that combining flasks of the same color would be bad, I thought it'd do something funny like blow me up and give me an instant game over, but having a hilarious amount of years taken from me worked too. Overall, the gameplay is functional, but could use a lot of polish. The graphics are also fine-they set the mood well-but I did notice UV stretching on a few objects. The ambience was really nice and carried a lot of the atmosphere here-I especially appreciated how they were 3D sounds and changed based on which way the camera was facing. Overall, nice job on the entry!
