Nice game, the right balance of difficulty :)
really balanced game (literally and metaphorically) :)
nice game! music is pretty intense. the game is really hard, I couldn't beat it. I'm a fan of the graphics/art style.
Nice idea. Music set a really intense mood.
Was really fun. I am a big fan of the Binding of Isaac and this scratched a similar itch. Was hard to damage the book when my shots would get blocked. I wish the ones that would explode on colliding with my shots would be colored differently so I would know. The title screen music was such a bop, it is a shame that I could not listen to it longer.
Nice try! The hamburgers and apple juice made me laugh,.
Nice game! I've never thought of a shmup game where your bullets interact with theirs, that's a cool idea. Cute art too!
Simple, easy to understand mechanic with a clear visual style. Challenging but not overwhelming. All in all, a good Jam game. The only thing I would add is a clear indication of when the player is hit. Maybe with an outline, glow, or colour change. Feedback to the player is really useful. Other than that just a couple of spelling mistakes in the text.
Nice little game, I liked that bullets hitting turned into stuff. I do wish there were more gaps to get hits in rather than only hitting bullets, right now it feels like i'm just blocking.
A pretty interesting concept. I found the game a bit too difficult, but perhaps it is because I am using a trackpad. Perhaps adding more power ups to the unstable powers of the wand? Like speed or damage boost. I think this would give the gameplay experience more variety.
It would also be nice if there were some SFX, it would give the player audio feedback and improve the game's overall experience.
I like the idea of shooting down the enemy bullets for rewards. However, I think the movement controls and/or player bullet rate/speed could use tweaking. I basically just sat near the middle and spammed bullets upwards until the boss died, which ended up being repetitive. It would have been nice if I had more control to dodge between bullets and snipe shots at the boss during openings.
