Really liked the game overall! The drill mechanic was a bit confusing at first but mainly because I'm a dummy and cannot read. The music and the atmosphere went together really well!

I liked the sound design a lot! The lighting system is pretty and the spotlights were useful and added to the experience. Getting the green gems felt really rewarding. Overall had a lot of fun.
It took me a while to get the release attack down but once I did I had a lot of fun. My first few plays I was just using the alt attack, but then I understood how to properly charge attack and change my directions.
Nice lighting effects!
This was awesome once I got used to the controls
I had a good time finishing the different levels. It was a good surprise to see that each of them came with new mechanics.
Pretty nice game with a bit confusing controls.
Just a good all round game, good art and music combine to make the mood, fits the theme well and is decently fun. Only thing I dont like is that the levels seem very long. Overall its very good.
@pnkvrt & @magnie thanks for the kind words! I'm really happy with how the atmosphere turned out, myself. Predicting what sprites would look like after the lighting system is applied was tricky, and the music was written while very, very tired. Could have gone worse!
@tigerj your "first few plays"? Did you play this game multiple times? Wow, thanks! I sadly didn't have the time to add in gamepad support. My guess is that the slingshot mechanic feels a bit better and more intuitive while using an analogue stick.
@dom-de-re & @just-dante Thanks! I agree, it's a bit confusing. Would have loved to show some onscreen text in level 1 maybe.
@Lelan Hey, I'm glad you liked that! I basically made as much content variety as I managed in the time, then decided to introduce them one at a time, starting with the simple ones. I think having some sort of arc like that is important.
@digitaldude555 Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, the levels are roughly 3 minutes each. I got stuck having to make them that long to fit exactly what I wanted the player to see at a time on screen. Messing with scroll speed and enemy speeds might have fixed it, with more time to tweak.
That lighting system is neat! 🤩 Overall this felt good to play, just wish I could speed things up sometimes. Got confused by the dash initially too but after reading "slingshot" in the comments I got it, probably want to use that word in the description too 😅 Music is great, the beat in the background adds to the sense of trodding on through the depths. Pretty cool stuff!
Cool! Controls confused me in the beginning but were pretty satisfying once you work it out. Also I missed this part at first > Repeatedly press Ctrl or Alt when drilling something that doesn’t give in immediately to push through!
which led to some frustrating deaths but I got to the end eventually. Super atmospheric with the art and the lighting system. Loved the music and the sound overall was great!
