The pixel art is nice. Wish there was a way to sink faster, felt like I didn't have much control.

Nice art and overall mood. I think a bit more feedback when a life is lost would improve it, so that I notice it more and start being more careful.

Hi guys! Just played this SUPER HARD GAME xD.

I liked the art of the game, concept of gameplay and audio.

I like the mood that the ambient sfx bring to the game, the audio is dynamic and music changes throughout the gameplay to fit tension.

Also art is really beautiful! Felt like some sprites with the main character being hit or something like this could bring even more overall coolness to it!

And maybe a secondary action besides moving from left to right could also enhance the playability, like sinking faster as @tengusheath suggested, or maybe an early powerup or something like that.

Nevertheless, congratulations on this Ludum Dare game! Had fun playing it!

Best regards, Caio Varalta.

A charming and enjoyable little game to play! The audio was very enjoyable, and the animations of all the sea creatures were very nice - I do love jellyfish, and you did a great job with them! I agree with the suggestions that a bit of control over fall speed would be excellent - there were certainly times I ended up playing that I felt as though I couldn't really do anything to dodge the creatures I was in front of with just left or right movement.

I also would've loved to know if there ultimately was an endgame! The title and the very short snippet at the beginning lead way to an intriguing plot, but the game itself felt a lot like an infinite scroller without a defined endpoint - the idea of a diver trying to descend into the ocean to wish their drowned lover a final farewell is a touching narrative, but it wasn't clear to me if there was a final end destination by way of the game play. I only managed to get down to score 77, so maybe I just didn't get far enough to see, but some kind of indication that there is an end game to go with the plot laid out at the beginning would be excellent - maybe some kind of brief 'I was almost there...' or 'I'll make it all the way to them next time...' at the end screen?

Ultimately - the game plays well, though up and down movement of some degree would be nice, and the music and atmosphere are wonderful for a 'sinking into the ocean' game! I still absolutely would have loved seeing more done with the plot some variety more of closure to it, but kudos for laying down intrigue with just one short box of text - you'd done enough with it that I was invested, and wanted to see the journey through!

Great work~! ☆

Liked the art, I was expecting the landscape to change more as I went deeper but oh well :stuck_out_tongue:

xpoho 2021-04-28 01:45

Музыка - просто огонь! Вы сами ее писали? Мое уважение! Игра с погружением, спасибо ^_^

roberto-braga 2021-04-28 13:21

@xpoho Yes, dude. We made all (music, SFX and programming) ourselves, starting from the theme definition. Thanks for you kind review!

roberto-braga 2021-04-28 13:24

@varalta Thanks, Caio. Your pizza game is also very nice too. Cheers!

roberto-braga 2021-04-28 13:28

@briibot Thanks, mate! You got the whole idea we tried to pass with so little elements. We'll take your suggestions to make some improvements. Cheers!

Very cool game, my top score was 90! I really liked the art, gameplay, music and sfx! Great game, congratulations.

nice games guys , and i also miss more control and animals glowing in the dark from the deep ocean

vitluke 2021-05-06 02:00

Cool game! Loved the concept, atmosphere and especially the soundtrack!

Some feedbacks I had on the game were already said on previous comments, like some trimming on the controls and movimentation, but it still does not affect my positive experience while playing it (although I still hate swordfish :v: ).

Good job!

I liked your pixel art and sound design a lot. I wasn't sure if the game was supposed to end or if it just keeps going.

8bitcharlie 2021-05-18 09:07

I would like to hear and rate also audio but in only browser where Unity is not hanged on loading screen is only silence for me (no audio at all). Any idea?

joaog 2021-05-18 10:46

Bom trabalho!

roberto-braga 2021-05-18 13:10

@8bitcharlie, that's weird. The game has music and SFX. Nobody ever complained about that.

bruno-moraes 2021-05-19 01:22

@8bitcharlie hello. There's a little bug that happens sometimes. Try playing and losing the game once and see if when restarts, the sound appears.

roberto-braga 2021-05-19 23:43

Obrigado, @joaog. Abraço
