This could turn out to be a good game. Unfortunately, it doesn't look very finished.

@pixelandy , yeah I agree! Unfortunately, I was really crunched on time and had to scrap a lot of things to submit by the deadline.
Lots of potential but too ambitious for a 3 days jam.
The mood was pretty decent, with the art being charming and functional enough to bring it together well.
It lacked substance, so I can't say much more. The music was nice, but it didn't do much for me in terms of tying with the theme of the game.
It felt a bit repetitive and there wasn't a really strong hook.
Overall, good attempt. I realize the time crunch is real, but it definitely needs content to make it a better play. However, for a first attempt, you've made a decent game that has working controls, decent art, good mood and music. That's more than a lot of people can say. (Not to mention, it's distinctly smooth playing)
@steve-dragon @slingshot Thanks for the feedback! I'm working on some updates for after the jam (unless I can update during it, I'll just update it) to overall make the game feel way better and more complete. I plan on continuing the game's development into the future, and I will take in mind all your amazing feedback. Thanks!
good game
@myline-media Thanks!
Hello, I loved your graphics and probably a music? There was music in menu, but then it stoped looping in-game, was that right? I think it would be nice to have it looping in-game, otherwise all I heard was coins.
@wallkysek Hi! It is right. There is supposed to be some audio that plays during the dungeon. It's not music, but it sets the mood. It's strange that you weren't able to hear it. I'll try looking into the problem. Thanks for the feedback!
I love the graphics! :D
the graphics were great and worked well with the lighting and mood! overall it would be cool to see more of this game :)
Like others have said waaay too ambitious for a jam game  but what you have here is actually really solid. Extremely well done for a first jam entry. Looking forward to seeing you flesh it out! Good work!
Idk if it's just me but the animations seemed to keep getting mixed up.
@jwfield @rat-spine @maggardjosh Thank you guys so much for your feedback! I will be continuing development of this game, as I as well am really excited to keep developing it. I actually already have an update on the way. ;)
@hypercubegames Hm. I'll be sure to look into that. The new build shouldn't have the issue.
That lighting work is great! It feels atmospheric, nice work. Definitely too ambitious for a game jam, so it's probably also a good lesson in scoping  Looking forward to your future entries!
@binaryspark Thanks for the feedback! I do agree that this was an overscope, and I did learn a lot from it. Other than that, it was a blast!
I checked it out myself and I think I'm pretty sure I have the outdated build at this point since I downloaded earlier... You shot too far and can only implement things as far as your time crunch goes.
What's amazing though it's that you still made it, and made it look at least more pleasing that what would be a lacking game. Sure it's lacking right now if you keep developing it, but it's definitely better than most of what would have been lacking in other time crunch games. You made a viable game out of it without any bad hitches.
* The animation mix-up is actually related to image loading I hope? After a while it does correct itself. * E is not exactly a good button for run either. It's actually counter-intuitive if you use the WASD keys along with that where shift would be more natural for running. (or space for sprinting since that's what it was really) * I'm not sure if the loading is intentional or a fake one. If it's fake, then probably add a "click to continue" button somewhere.
Anyway, if you do keep developing this one, I do hope it thrives, because what you're pitching sounds real good and gives a potential mixup than other games out there. Next time you do a game jam, do keep in mind KISS! (Keep it simple, silly!) Since it's your first time, it's actually quite okay!
Ok my one big feedback is that maybe you should be able to pick up the coins automatically. Great potential and start to be able to expand on after the jam for sure :)
@simpathey Thanks for the feedback! Yesterday I updated the game and fixed a lot of the clunkyness and made the game a little easier to beat. (Added dash, removed the need to hit E to pick things up, added slight boost when gold is picked up, etc.) I'm looking forward to your opinion!
What's here is pretty basic, but it's functional, and for your first game jam, overscope is not surprising. I've been doing jams for about 6 or 7 years now, and I still make that mistake. So, props for making a playable game!
I liked the dungeon. The use of different floor tiles added visual interest, and the ambience was really good.
The dash isn't very noticeable. I was expecting him to zip forwards, but he just moves slightly faster. I agree with fiaKaiera that E is the wrong key for that, although it works if you use arrow keys.
The "You died, lol" made me laugh. It's so casual!
@divford Thanks for the feedback! I do agree that the idea was quite ambitious for a game jam, and that the E key maybe wasn't the best choice for dash. I'm glad you liked the dngeon and death screens!
This never stopped loading for me so was unable to play! Just a heads up!
@astronautmikedexter I've been recieving a lot of issues along the lines of this. I'm looking into it!
I’ve finally figured out the issue with the animation mixups! It happens when the player moves using their arrow keys. To avoid this you may just use WASD or wait for the update to come out in a day or two. Thanks!
