I have a minor inconvenience where the fallen rock kills me just by touching and not by crushing, but other than that, the game as a whole is *chef's kiss" amazing. The graphics and the art look amazing, the simple music is lovely and the controls feels really nice. Awesome job and keep it up :)
This is a really cute game, I love the 2D sprites in the 3D environment, it looks really great.

Nice game! I liked the interesting approach of using 2d sprites in 3d world. I would say that it's a bit too strict killing the player from the slightest touch of a rock. Other than that, really well-implemented. Liked the art and the soundtrack, they create great mood. Great job!

That is one beautiful axolotl. Love the contrast between 2d and 3d, even if it causes some camera issues. BGM is also great. Congrats!
@firefart and @mykola That's a bug TT^TT you are supposed to be killed only if you are not carrying an egg, otherwise you are supposed to drop the egg, but the rock is killing the player :'/
I'll fix that in an after jam version.
Thanks, the art was fun to do, the music was done by a friend tho.
@tad-i-guess thanks it took some time :'v
@gryffo Thanks! Yeah, i haven't work that much with 3D, have to do more of these :D
Great idea. Would love to see a refined version of this little gem! Knowing where the caves bits are falling would be handy, but otherwise had a blast. 6/5 raised heartbeats!
Good mix of 2D and 3D a little bit too short and to easy but really great good job ! ;)

Simple game :) i like the mood, cute character and funny concept. don't understand the connection with theme and I would have preferred to be able to anticipate the fall of the blocks, with shadows on ground for example because be kill by a block that appears in front of you is a bit frustrating, and jump don't work when you are close to a wall Whatever your game touched me, don't realy know why. hope you'll fix it and maybe finish it ;)

Nice game. I enjoyed the music. Thank you for your game
Great graphics I love the character animation ! It's sometime hard to tell where you are in the 3D perspective but otherwise this game feels so nice and so cute ! I had a great time, good job !

Love the art style, 2D assets in the 3D environment look great, and the pink contrasts against the darker color in a nice way. When all the text is pink, its a little hard to figure out what to read first (especially with the uneven font).
The mechanics are simple and fun, but I found that the difficulty spikes pretty quickly and I'm not able to save more than 1 or 2 eggs before I am hit & lose. I would consider either slowing down the rate acceleration for how fast the rocks drop, or maybe allow the axolotl to take more than 1 hit before losing?
Regardless, I had a great time playing and can't get over how cute the axolotl sprite is (and their lil paper-looking eggs!). Great work!
I love the artwork! I absolutely love the pink color palette. The music is a bit repetitive, but for a one man Jam having music at all is an accomplishment. Sometimes the giant blocks would obscure the path, and it's hard to know if there's something behind it that would end the run. Really cool game!
Very cute run' n avoider!
The blend of ultra cute pixel art and 3D was a fun experience, I think it's the first jam game I've played that has done that. I like the little spinny spin animations our main character does. I also really like all the pinks in the palette, very charming.
Movement felt pretty fine but hit detection seemed a little off. Sometimes I would try to pick up an egg but it would bounce around (maybe I ran into it too fast?) and I'd have to walk away and then go back to it. I could only manage to get to 2 eggs before dying! Are the fallen blocks always set to hurt you even when they've finished falling? If they could be set to not hurt you after they've fallen I think that'd make for an easier time. To add onto this I think if there was a shadow for where they would fall that would help, and perhaps if we could take multiple hits.
Overall a quick paced and funny entry (especially that name!)
Great job and entry.
God the music is so good I love it ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
I saved the eggs!! I feel like you should put a countdown timer on it and let the player save as many eggs in that time as they can, I think that would make for a bit more replayability and allow players to challenge themselves by trying to beat previous scores.
The pixel art was cute and the way it was incorporated into the 3d environment was interesting, although it needed a bit of work. The game's movement and collision felt pretty janky, you should probably just try removing friction from the physics entities and apply linear damping over time when not receiving movement input, and then I imagine it would feel much better.
Over all super cute entry and definitely an accomplishment to make this over a weekend. Great job!!
p.s. I'm still listening to the music in another browser tab it's so gooood
Graphics are wonderful, except the camera keeps hiding behind rocks so I can't see myself. Should be more top-down.
And it keeps saying "They died" and I don't understand if throwing the eggs is good or bad since they're fertilized and I'm supposed to rescue them? And when I throw one, it tips on its end and shows the billboards like a star, and I thought that meant it splattered and died.
I couldn't beat the game, I kept dying without knowing what I did wrong. Was there a timer?
I saved them! The graphics and soundtrack are really nice. I found the controls to be a bit frustrating. It felt like you moved left and right much more quickly than forward and back, and jumping often got me stuck on a wall. Also, I think more levels would have been nice. Maybe starting with an easier one, and then ramping up the difficulty.
@bizmasterstudios You got bud, I have to fix a lot of stuff. Gonna check out how to do that.
@thejookerful Thank you! I wanted to make a short experience, maybe was too short huehuehue :v
@becher Ok ok ok!!! thanks for the feedback! your the second person that says that about the blocks to me, I now am considering very hard on do it, thanks!
@shubart Thanks! music was done by the Quiet Gecko - https://quietgecko.itch.io
@shin0nome Thanks! Mmmm I believe the camera can be changed a little so it's easier to know where you are, thanks for the feedback and for playing!
@jackbad I made it myself! v: thanks, yes the difficulty curve was something that I did not control well, have to change that D:
thanks for the feedback and for the compliments on the art UwU
@100th-coin thanks for the feedback I'll keep that in mind when working on an update ~ *fix camera issues*
@2bitcrook O: Yes, now I know I have to add a shadow for the blocks, everyone says that xD - Thanks for the feedback I'll keep that in mind when working on the update.
@technonugget
Music done by the awesome Quiet Gecko (https://quietgecko.itch.io)
YES! The collisions are soooooo bad, I did them in a rush, have to fix them! D: you can actually do 'wall jumps' but that is not intentional :'v thanks for the feedback, i'll have them in mind when working on the update.
@reactor-scram *takes note - fix camera*
They died means you died so they also died :v this happens when touching a rock. You are supposed to take them to the back of the cave, there is no timer. This was my first time doing 3D models, but I couldn't make an egg so I did a lot of images rotated to give this impression, did not worked as plenned :'v
I guess I have to work more on my tutorial/teching stuff thanks for the feedback
@boxedmeatrevolution
ok ok ok ok thanks for the feedback, i do have to fix that difficulty curve, and those collisions with the walls.
Thanks for playing!
