Nice graphics, however I'm having a hard time figuring out what I'm supposed to do?
Really liked the concept. Had to do a few tries before I understood everything. Then it went pretty well, I was really searching what could change between the loops. Nice use of the theme. Good music too, thanks for making it :)
Really good graphics and especially the music - so far probably the best I've heard on this LD.
To be honest, I was slightly disappointed when I discovered the gameplay was mostly about shooting enemies and walls. It seems kind of unoriginal. The detective aesthetic would work really well as part of an investigation story. But maybe that's just me.
I had a hard time figuring out what do to as well. I managed to get to the room with spikes on the right but then it seemed I had nowhere to go, even after shooting at every wall. Maybe there was something I've missed...
Overall, solid entry, mostly for the visuals and the music.
That's an interesting game, I like the concept a lot. The vibe is very moody, and the gameplay of finding the exit in the loop is clever. It's weird to walk in the complete dark in order to advance but I figured out I could see a bit while I was shooting, but then I ran out of bullet :P Overall, that's a nice little game that deserve to be developped a little more.
Cool game! I really like the idea, that you can run out of bullets. Good job.
It turned out quite stylish! Cool
Great visual style and music! However finding which wall to shoot to break out the loop is somehow counterintuitive, that it becomes a trial-and-error thing rather than puzzlesolving. The enemy AI is too simple, but that's understandable for a LD entry.
Trial and error got me through to the last level, and I was wondering where the fun was supposed to come from. That strategy doesn't work on the final level and I finally understood what I was supposed to do. I replayed the game with that understanding and now I really like the idea. I just think that _all_ the levels should be like the last one - trial and error should be totally infeasible. The game does a good job of establishing an eerie atmosphere thanks to the dark graphics and the music which is very well made and suits the game well.
Interesting loop game! It was quite hard to understand why certain loops where different, and that that would mean shooting a wall somewhere. Might have been nicer to put the detective into that and have a separate action for finding the differences. The NPCs were fairly easy to evade/shoot, so there was not much of a pressure on the bullet economy, could make that a bit sharper.
Got through a fair amount!
Hiding the loop in the shadow is a smart idea !
UPD: here was a request of Win version because couldn't run the web version on Chrome, was able to run the web on Edge (lol). Great game, like the idea of exploring the level. Didn't understand why the table on the 2nd level sometimes red, sometimes green :( Music is awesome! UPD 2: Ok I got after going trough last level, clever!
This is a fun and pretty well made little game. I really like the visual style and the music is pretty amazing. Okay, the AI could have been better, and finding the way to end the loop was often a bit too confusing, but I did still had fun trying your game. Overall a good jam game. Well done.
I had a really hard time figuring this one out, especially since the controls aren't shown in game. Being told to begin with "shoot this wall" but not *why* to shoot that wall left me really confused. I liked the atmosphere, but I think the shadows were too dark and made it hard to see what was going on. Even after reading this page and playing a few levels, I still honestly don't know what I was doing. I just jumped to the top of each level and then it would go completely dark and I'd start over with a slightly bigger level. With so few bullets, it was hard to balance shooting enemies and not dying with finding a way to escape. I feel like the game would have been better emphasizing the investigation and minimizing the combat.
