Uh... I'm more confused if anything really... The artwork is nice but that's all I can say about it unfortunately.

*~~How is Eileen's back not broken...?~~*

I like the take on the story inside the mind, it was a little much with the save a menu things, I understand the time limits, would love to see more styles like this in more jams!! The music is catchy!

Well I truly felt like I was stuck in the same loop I've been stuck in for the past 7 months. An interesting entry for sure! (Also I actually got that dated reference so I don't know what that says about me.)

I like the music and the graphics and the surreal aspect of this. A very realistic take on stuck in a loop. +1 how is her back not broken.

I found myself interested in what was going to happen, and it was funny! I would stay away from political jokes, not because some will disagree (who cares), but because they reeeeeally have to be funny to be passable and "I don't like Trump" just isn't creative. The other jokes were good.

Assuming this was all hand-drawn, so high marks for art. I would agree with the comment about not focusing on the saving menu and all that, but I'm assuming that was built into the graphical novel engine you used?

Thanks for all the feedback!

Yes, all the menus and saving functionality are the defaults from the visual novel engine (Ren'Py).

I tried to play the game, but just keep getting the error "Downloading Story... Cannot download game. Maybe the download was blocked, see the JavaScript console for more information.".

The JavaScript console shows quite a few errors.

@nicksmaddog Hmm, I haven't seen that error. I would suggest trying to play it in Chrome (on desktop) if you are using a different browser.

I really liked the art style

Interesting game! I liked the concept, it was a fun take on the prompt :)

A very absurd, surreal experience. I got stuck once or twice, which is suitable, but then after a while the story seemed to simply play out. Having made a narrative game for this LD myself, I was happy to run into another.

The art is great, I love the style. The music... oh man, that seemed stuck in a loop of itself. I have to admit it started getting to me after a little while; I both appreciate and hate it.

No real useful critiques from me here, I guess perhaps a clearer direction at the start when I felt a little stuck would have helped, but I did keep going and progressed anyway.

All in all, nice one!

Oh cool, i got the happy ending. Also- what in the *duck* did I just play. This is definitely the kind of game that only gets better at 2 in the morning. The duck, the curtains (not just the opaque one, but the transparent one too), the terrorists, my wife who was kidnapped by terrorists, my Iphone X, my environmentally friendly turbo-shower head nozzle, the terrorists again but smaller this time and also they have my phone, honestly- what in the world?! I can tell you had so much fun making this. Incredible work all around, honestly what a rollercoaster this was. Definitely a gem amongst the rest of the Ludum Dare entires. Best story I've ever seen from a game jam. The artwork was adorable (and chaotic at times, like the super environmentally friendly turbo-nozzle while the terrorists with my wife and phone were showing up again but smaller this time) and my lord, the humor. It goes without saying that this was the funniest Ludum Dare game this Jam. Brilliant.
