very solidly built! i like the responsiveness when collisions happen, it feels very nice.

my only thing is it was a little confusing to figure out how to do anything with the menu, since the "confirm" command was explained behind a menu that you had to confirm to see, lol. but, i mean, it was solved by just hitting buttons on my keyboard anyway, so no big!

Nice and simple, thought it felt like the best option was to sit there and just shoot based on radar

RIP the dinosaurs. I tried, but those meteors really hate the Earth.

This is a solid game. I really liked the inclusion of the moon - it was scientifically accurate and helpful! The missiles were also quite good and fun to use. It was perhaps a little too easy and didn't get harder or otherwise more interesting over time. I quit around 60000 points still going pretty strong.

trace 2020-04-21 05:35

@bmacintosh well, i wouldn't be so sure about the moon being scientifically accurate considering how close it is. But about the with difficulty not increasing, i was considering adding some kind of system that would do that, but i wasn't sure how i would handle it, and there were already some situations were it felt like you couldn't do much. Plus the game was already pretty fun as is, so i just left it like that.

This is a very solid game. It's really fun. All my dinosaurs died, though :(

Great job!

sofy35 2020-04-21 15:49

tpzombie 2020-04-21 15:55

That was a fun game! My highscore was 23730 btw :D

zollmaniac 2020-04-21 16:37

Solid game. Well done! The only real frustration I had was bouncing off of earth instead of flying over it.

trace 2020-04-21 16:45

@tpzombie nice, my highscore is 254180, it took a lot of patience and i don't expect anybody to get that high.

pomeroyb 2020-04-21 20:24

nice game! The moon destroying the asteroids was a nice touch, wasn't expecting it!

god-colo 2020-04-22 06:49

Throwback to the SNES Era! I liked the frictionless movement! Really felt like travelling in space! Also the sound effects and the font really go well with the game ! Greato Jobu

wekaj 2020-04-22 07:56

Nice work, the game felt very polished. I liked the music a lot, it sounded like it was straight out of a Final Fantasy game!

trace 2020-04-22 16:10

@wekaj That's probably because of the soundfont, cause i actually told the guy who made the music that he could listen to star fox music for inspiration, neither him nor me really play final fantasy games.

Awesome game. Graphics and audio are just excellent. Controls feel nice and smooth. The only thing that I would like to mention is that after some time the game gets a bit repetitive, maybe adding meteor variations after a certain amount of minutes, but it's a minor thing. Overall it's a really cool game, good job!

Here is my highest score haha

cristi-mihai 2020-04-26 22:05

boy, earth can take a serious beating...

great game!

jonathan-lorenz 2020-04-28 05:15

Now that's a title that makes me wanna click! Cool little game, fluid and fun. I think a "wave" system (like tower defence) would help the player having achievable goals and give short term motivations. Cheers!

trace 2020-04-29 02:48

@jonathan-lorenz Yeah, that was the original plan, but i wasn't quite sure how i'd exactly handle it so i just left it as it was, which gave me more time to add more polish.
