Got a score of 195. I really like this game. Starting from the juicy main menu buttons to the art style. The soundtrack is awesome as well.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD46 → The Last Wizard Alive

I think that the soundtrack is great and idea of having some requirement to make player shoot is really cool! :) I'd love to see enemy HP, because it seems like some guys take 2 hits and other take 1. Also when you reach higher score the heart starts moving fast which allows you to shoot a ton of bullets but there are not enough enemies (their amount stays the same), so you just become overpowered.
I'd also suggest putting the main heart bar above player or somewhere closer to playground, because I ended up looking mostly at the bar and not at the game. :)
Otherwise solid entry, well done!
Great retro style in the art and soundtrack.
The game ends up being more of a rythm challenge as you progress because you can shoot everything down instantly with the increased rate of fire.
Very fun and original game, good job!
Nice game and very original too. I like the concept and the UI was very nice. I would say that the gems should give you score passively because otherwise you can just gain score on one lane and let the other gems die. Otherwise, great fun!
it really feels like a retro game out of the Atari 5200 series! i think some added text can add story to the game, a upgrade system would be cool too! more levels like maps with more lanes and two direction can really add more to this very well polished game
Nice multitasking game. Got up to 465 and now I feel dizzy. It might be nice if there was an audio cue when the heart bounced to help with the timing when it gets faster. Solid arcade-style entry.
I got to 265! As there wasn't a limited number of bullets or anyt pentaly for shooting whenever, I found it quite easily to defend against the monsters. It was the timing of the heart that eventually took my health down that ended my playthroughs. Fun little game and neat idea, good job!
Very nice game ! I really enjoyed it. The fact you have to pay attention to your decreasing health points plus you have to protect the diamonds. The gradual increase in difficulty is also very well made as it is very progressive and the player may not realize it in the first place.
Good job also for the audio, I thought it matches the game pretty nicely.
Well done !
Nifty little game! Got up to 315, and in the end the enemies were not the problem, but my heart speed :D
Would have loved to see a bit more interaction with things like powerups (walk over em/ shoot em), and in general ways to slow down my heartbeat. :D
To note your tutorial was also really clear, well done on spending effort there!
I got up to 370, this is a really neat idea. One suggestion that I know could be difficult but would also be really cool would be to try to sync the music with the heart so that you could always press the space bar to the beat or twice every beat or something.
Got upto 380... Nice game.. Welldone.
