Love the game!
@inaki-roque @PonyPrincess420 thanks for playing it
can you please provide a how to play?
@hamzeh its in the description of the game
It could probably benefit from some music or something, but it was a well made game
@strailks thank you I would add some music I dint want to take any open source and my brother who does the sound effects didnt know a good song
Great concept, but like others are saying music would for sure help the game! Also maybe being a little more forgiving on the timing
A love the different objects that fall out of the sky. It made the game very entertaining.
@frozen-spirit thank you so much for playing
I was expecting there to be music, but it was still fun to see the different objects fall
@huddybuddygreatness i would add music post jam i just couldn't get any music if i did this again ill make sure to o add it forsure maybe ludum dare 92. Also if i had more time and a better understanding of game maker i would add a menu where you can change the difficulty
thanks for playing @eva next jam ill make sure to add music
You could explain your game better by adding some kind of advice in game how you play, if I stubled upon this by randomly and did not read the ludum dare desc I probably would not figure out how to play it and also some music would be great. It could make the game much better.
LISTING YOUR GAME AS SOURCE CODE RATHER THAN WINDOWS MIGHT BE AFFECTING YOUR RATING HERE - THAT SAID, FUN IDEA, I NEVER FOUND A HIDDEN ENDING, WOULD BE CURIOUS TO SEE A PLAYTHROUGH WHERE YOU DO, THAT SAID I PLAYED TO LIKE 150 SO WELL DONE ON YOUR SUBMISSION :)
Could you please change the link to say it's windows only? Thanks!
It's simmilar to flappy bird, but much more boring. The gameplay is really simple and I didn't really liked it, even though it might fit a mobile game. And why the hell did you call me a loser? :( The only good thing here were graphics, especially variety of objects that were falling down.
The gameplay is pretty repetitive, maybe add some music and make it more fast paced? The art and style is good, though.
@skyeward @uberdy I fixed it to say windows
@brokevectors @thomasward couldn't find a pace that could fit everyone some people could do it without having to look and others it took several tries to make it 25.Like I said before I would add a menu and a difficulty setting if I did this again. I'm more use to making mobile type games as well so that's why it feels like a mobile next jam ill make sure to make a pc style game to break that mold. Also thomas that was a place holder but when i was going to replace it i had like 10 minutes. thanks you guys for playing
@causalpigeon No problem, my critique might be a bit harsh, but it's honest and we all know that working under time pressure is very hard. The fact that the game was mobile style isn't a problem - it's okay to make simple games for jams and later on rewrite it for Android. I hope you got some great experience which will result with a great game for next Ludum Dare!
@thomasward on an alt I mainly learn from critique if everyone said its a good concept i would only there's a problem not what the problem is.ty
I liked the graphics. You could really up the difficulty though, since the mechanics aren't too difficult.
You mentioned your brother not having good song. It's a Ludum Dare. *Some* background audio helps a lot. Jam random notes in key and it's better than nothing.
As for finding the right difficulty a quick way is to make the game get harder over time. Start somewhere slightly too easy and get harder from there. In your case the easiest way might be to make the objects fall faster each time. Eventually it'll get impossibly hard and that's fine. It gives an "ending" to your game as opposed to going on forever.
And try not to antagonize your players.
@qqcs thanks for the advise ill make sure to use these as guidelines next time
