I thought this game was fun! Well done :D
Pretty fun! A cool concept for trying to figure out which item, but also being able to use other items as bait. Maybe a more complicated hint and item system would help expand it. I also ran out of bullets at some point and didn't realize why or how I could get more, could that be added to some tutorial?
Nice! I love the scroll to reload mechanic! Great Job!
Super difficult, but super cool gameplay idea! Trying to figure out how to keep as many objects alive was my original strategy, but after losing a few times I ended up trying to keep every object alive that corresponded to my initial hint & sacking the items that didn't fit the description to get ammo, or use them as a barricade. I was never able to get the question mark in the corner though without dying.):
Great unique gameplay!
Really fun game. I liked how you could sacrifice certain items to get more hints or ammo. Somehow, I ended up getting both the winning and losing screens. Very fun game with an interesting mechanic.
Interesting take on the theme - I like the detective / case solving idea and this is the first entry I've played to go that route. Great use of tradeoffs / choices in gameplay too. Well done!
bro can you tell me how did you do this character and pistol? i mean that only pistol rotates and they're connected
@beanslasher Thank you!
@maxter10001 Yeah a tutorial definitely would've helped, I kinda just hoped people would play multiple times and explore and learn everything through that, but thats definitely not the best way to go sometimes. Behind the blue gate there is a ammo machine that you can throw items into the get more ammo.
@kr4sh3 Thank you! My friend gave me the idea to have scroll be the reloading, so I'm glad it's working out as well as he though it would
@simin Thank you for playing! I iterated the difficulty of the game a lot in the last few hours. I didn't want it to be too easy, but I also wanted people to be able to beat it in 3 tries once they got use to it.
@blackshadow1games Damn, I thought I fixed that bug. Glad you enjoyed the game though!
@zesix Thank you!
@adriankrawczyk Yeah basically I changed the pivot of the gun sprite to be below the actual sprite (if the gun was pointing up) so that when rotated it will rotate around that pivot. I then Made the gun a child of the player and would get the position of the mouse in world space then have the gun rotate to where the mouse was located.
Really Nice game!, the reload mechanic reminds me of the Arcade game "Time Crisis". Awesome music and smooth game-play, better visual would make the game much better. Great Job!
Took me more attempts than I expected to beat this! I like how it adds challenge from the slightly annoying reload mechanic haha. Even after beating it I still can't figure out the best strategy to always win because in the end I got lucky (50% chance of protecting the wrong item!) In any case, really polished for a jam game! Well done!
nice game :)
Nice game with simple yet effective graphics! I liked idea of scrolling to reload
Nice game, it's really awesome! I like the scrolling to reload, it was very tactile, though in the later part of the game I found myself relying on my mouse's near frictionless scroll, so I kinda just spun it and focussed on shooting. The game was also a bit dependent on chance, you simply had to sacrifice something and pray that it wasn't that. I like the difficulty of it, you had to make quite a few treks to the ammo dump, which was very hard in the heat of battle. Ultimately I won based off a lucky pick of which item to defend, and even then the game was super hard. I like that there were the two places in the map that did stuff, but the hint machine was too far away to be valuable, it was better to pray for good rng. Overall the game was very cool, nice job with the graphics and I love the tactility of reloading. The graphics and audio were great and most of the design was on point too. Overall great job! :heart:
Super cool idea. I like how in this game you did not know really what to keep alive which helped with its originality but it did leave alot of chance in throwing stuff into the ammo box which was kind of annoying. I overall loved the game though. Good job! :D
