The game works, mummies looks hilarious and the theme work. Also there is a nice variety of the hostile-/and hazard types. Main trouble on playing is that it's hard to see where to jump while cannot see the platforms under or up there.

Also while the idea and the players target now reads in here the forum, the objective could be able to read in the game in title or somewhere too.

Also; where are the pyramids and the pair of deagles :smirk_cat: ??

Great job for your first project!

Thank you for the great comments and for trying our game. Changing the size of the camera would definitely help.

This is really cool! - well done! I think you should change the jump noise (or make it more subtle), it doesn't fit into the style of the game. All the rest of the graphics and audio work well together.

I'll second @hiisileiri by saying that one of the most frustrating things to have happen to you in a platformer is for you to die from falling onto something that you couldn't have possibly seen in advance. Widening the camera was a good step but it would also help to adjust the level design so you can't accidentally fall a mile to your death.

I think the art works well, and the brooding music in the background is a good touch. The jump noise got really hard to listen to after a while and it didn't really fit.

I'm not really sure how this fits into the theme to be perfectly honest.

Overall though it's a product that you ought to be proud of.

Good job for your first family jam! Graphics are nice. Seems like you can only collect a relic from the side. I stood on top of it like a platform without collecting it. The sound effects are too loud and intense. The jump sounds like it's an 8-bit game, which it's not. No need to play the jump sound when you simply walk off a platform. This game has a bunch of potential to be developed and refined.

What a great community. #1 thing learned was get outsiders to play test. Great idea to change or drop the jump sound. Our original thought was collecting artifacts to keep a spirit alive. You would go down into a crypt to collect it, then up to get the artifacts. Animating the character took all Sunday to figure out, so that left us short on time. The other glitch not mentioned was sometime the isGrounded faults next to a wall and makes it impossible to jump. The music was Audacity altered phone ring and ukulele combined.

Loved the character art. Animations were fun too. I managed to push one mummy off of a platform. It was a nice surprise to hear the sound when it fell into the quicksand! Great first fam jam. Keep it up!

Loved the game. Art is nicely packed together as well as the audio. Also congrats on your first finished game, that's a huge accomplishment. Keep up the good work!

Seems like a nice game. The platforming and level design were definitely solid. The art was consistent throughout. Sometimes the jump simply doesn't work which is a problem.

Solid beginnings of a platformer! I feel like the jump is just a touch too high, but otherwise not bad.

That was pretty fun to play through. The moving platforms made it complicated, and I liked the sneaky block. I love the guitar music and the sound effects. I kept dying time after time just so that I could hear all of the dying sound effects.
