Fits with the theme, the transitions are good. But the game looked a bit darker to me.

I think the game need a bit more music! Nice Game!
Crisp art. But the controls should be explained.
Really engaging tower defense game with a realy cool art. Reminded me of Creeper World games. Also, I wish unit didn't lose focus when you activate/deactivate tower. With a little polish, it could become a really neat little game Also, there's a small bug I noticed. Game has camera panning with arrows as well as WASD, but W and A keys didn't do anything.
Thanks a lot for the feedback people.
There is an issue with qwerty keyboard, since I developed on azerty. My mistake.
I struggled a lot with making the isometric view work. I would have manage to reach a much higher level of polish if I had made an easier style. I would love to explore that twist on tower defense (based on resource collection and management) a bit further.
Nice game! It could be better with something like tutorial.
Nice Work for your first ludum dare ! Your game fits completely the theme! Animations are nice! Selection of turrets are sometimes not always accurate or instant. It took me a loot of time to figure out how to play, a tutorial phase would be nice! Welcome in the LD Community!
Interesting and challenging game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 46 compilation video series, if you want to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/BkQLNdwwwdM
Good Game
Loved the pathfinding you did there, albeit the game was a bit confusing at first because I didn't know you gather energy by controlling the small platform. I found it to be quite fun and polished, and it is hard also, I never went past wave 2 :((
Nice game. Adding some more soundFX and music may be a good idea. WASD not working properly, but the arrow keys were fine. And also you can add some more explanation about the gameplay. Good job!
Great game, although I did not immediately understand what to do. Otherwise, everything is very good)
A fun combination of RTS and tower-defency type of games! I'd like to see you being able to create other units than the one you control, or alternatively maybe it is possible but I did not know how. Which brings me to my critique: It was quite hard to figure out how to play and what to do in order to survive. Some kind of tutorial or text on the itch page explaining what you should do and what you can do would be really useful. Overall though the graphics were really nice on this one! It was quite fun to play also, and the audio complemented the graphics nicely.
I did find out that you can move the camera with arrow keys, but also with Z, X, S, and D, or something along those lines (I didn't really map the non-arrow keys very well)? Is that intentional or just some kind of leftover from godot input system?
The control issues with ZQSD were coming from keyboard settings (AZERTY vs QWERTY) which is a polishing thing I did not plan for. My mistake. I should have highlighted that you also could move the camera by holding the middle mouse button and moving the mouse.
For the creation of units, I was planning that new units would be created at different waves, to allow the player to manage resource gathering on different sides of the map because it was getting bigger and bigger. Sadly I did not manage to make it work before the end so I took it out. For the tutorials I really forgot to add controls instructions. To make the game easier and more fair, I should have made the energy be consumed only when the turrets are engaging enemies instead of when they're turned on.
Anyway, thank you very much for that feedback, it feels good to hear the graphics and audio felt good. I would have liked to add more variations in the tiles and the enemies.
I liked it a lot. Left mouse clicks didn't always register, had to double/triple click sometimes on the towers.
The game has major technical issues: left clicks often didn't register, and the game started lagging horribly if I tried to use the arrow keys to move the screen and once the main blob got large.
The gameplay of figuring out which towers needed to be on or off at any given time was reasonable, but the technical issues made it an exercise in frustration rather than the fun that I think the premise holds.
