i like the idea, to the point

Really wanted to give this a go, any chance you can release it for an alternative platform?

rolodophone 2020-04-21 11:53

@sami Hi, at the moment I only know how to make Android apps, but you can install BlueStacks and easily play my game from there. I'm glad you found my game appealing

Hey, nice job with this one! Clever concept and the high chance of failure keeps you on edge. I found it a little difficult to read what the buttons did when cycling through them. perhaps colouring the buttons based on their action or icons for the tools would help with that? But otherwise great!

federico-giorgi 2020-04-22 13:09

A bit messy, i would to understand some actions that i have already did

adonisdevs 2020-04-22 19:41

Played on my phone :) The actions that are already done should go away, and I didn't feel like the waiting was necessary, but other than that, this was pretty interesting! Nice :)

WOW! I like the idea of the game but I find it suuuuper difficult!!!

I will suggest to fix 2 things: - When returning to the menu after the patient is dead (yes, I killed him a ton of times xD) I saw the menu duplicated, triplicated... It seems to show one per each time you reach the menu (that again, it has been often for me hahahaha) - There are some times that after clicking the "more" button I got the exact same options... I would suggest to do either all of them different every time or a list of buttons with actions (sanitation, cut, general actions...). I ask for that because one of the runs I did I did not have the option to cauterize the wounds and my patient bled :skull:

However, I think this could be a very cool game with a little more work!! Good job!!!

I love the art too, btw!!

My feedback is only for the video but let me start by saying that it definitely looks like a mobile experience so props for making it feet so well for the chosen platforms and the music/sounds effects really feeds into the mood. I would recommend though, for future jams, to try to always include a ready to play PC/Mac or HTML version if the engine you are using allows you to quickly do that as it makes it easier for reviews to play.

@prodigalson Hi, yeah, I made this using Android Studio so producing a PC/Mac/HTML version is not as easy as ticking a box. I make mobile games because I think they fit my style of game better, and I think there's a larger audience for smaller, less complex games. However, I realise that maybe Ludum Dare is more focused on games for a desktop computer, so for the next one I will see if I can port it to HTML or something. The downside is that the games won't be designed for a keyboard and mouse.

 I wish I could make iOS games without a Mac.

@samboyer276 @federico-giorgi @adonisdevs @laurari Thanks for the feedback! I will take all your advice into account for the future.
