Honestly, I did not understand the game at all. Maybe you need some variations

pablotitan 2019-10-08 06:20

For sure, it is not so long and not so diverse now, but I liked it so much, that I would love to develop it further, add some background story, more memorable moments and challenges to overcome. For now, it's kind of a self-experienced detective game, where you try to recollect someone's memories basing only on some sounds resembling memories in a mind. It indeed should have some challenge at the end, so thanks for the honest review, I really appreciate it! :)

The ticking of the clock and the different sound effects really enchanced the mood. After the end screen it continued but without any memories. Did I miss something? Anyway an interesting idea and a nice entry!

Thanks for a review! :) I wanted to loop it, but I see now there is a bug with recreating those memories. I will try to fix it as soon as possible, so for now, let's assume that one play is enough

I tried several times to find a good memory. Are there only bad memories? :(

I liked the mood. The audio got sometimes a bit messy when the memories were clustered too close.

Thanks for a review! ;) There are "good" memories, but it's of course arbitrary - I have chosen memories that I think are good, like a memorable birthday party, applaud when you reach something e.g. finish college, but I didn't wanted to force the same on players, because I want you to interpret it by yourself :) I agree that when you attract many memories and they start to play instantly it's messy, maybe a queue for sounds would be ok?

Nicely done, it was exactly as i expected it from the description, you nailed the mood.

Nice game

Thanks for your comments, guys ;)

Good mood and outstanding sound design. But... what the heck was I doing in the game?

tricky-fat-cat 2019-10-09 22:41

A small and peculiar game about memories. But the problem is that I haven't found any difference between the numbers of bad and good memories and that it's hard to avoid bad memories.

pablotitan 2019-10-10 06:23

As I said earlier, I didn't managed to add any challenges I planned with bad memories and I wanted to add also some upgrades planned with good memories - thus the game is just a jam game and I won't add anything because it's after deadline and I don't want to cheat :D I will surely polish it after jam, because I enjoyed creating what resembles someone's life memories :) Thanks for reviews! P.S. If you want to escape bad memories that are following you, use dash (space key)! :)

I love the mood and sounds. But at first I didn't get what I need to do. Then on my 2-3 try I thought than blue ones are bad memories, dont know why xD

Fascinating game you made! Really fun and and enjoyable! Really love the game you made!

arctick9 2019-10-10 12:42

Very interesting concept. Surreal and intriguing. Sound design is very nice.

glitchheart 2019-10-10 18:13

Interesting, but sort of difficult to understand. I liked the idea though.

daitse 2019-10-11 18:26

Really interesting concept but things are a bit confused for now (though I suppose it does fit the theme to be confused ^^). You created a nice atmoshpere as well, well done ! (especially since you were by yourself :) )

evlko 2019-10-11 18:32

Good sound, awesome mood and atmosphere. However, difficult to get the whole idea.

pablotitan 2019-10-11 19:08

Thanks for the reviews guys! I'll definitely focus on world building next time, lesson's learned! ;)

landosystems 2019-10-11 19:25

Nice little game, very atmospheric with audio and story. Good work!

chuchugeralt 2019-10-11 19:43

...then everything changed when the fire nation....i mean the car accident happened. Even though i just could get bad memories, the mood of the game was quite amazing. Nice work.

vincentvincent 2019-10-13 12:47

Like the idea and sound design!
