Really fun game, loved the graphics. After i died a couple of times, the screen went completely red and i couldn't restart.

spaceface14dev 2019-04-30 02:45

@edevjogos thanks for playing!

Nice visual aesthetics. The audio isn't particularly interesting. The controls don't feel super responsive and I often get stuck on the corners of blocks.

spaceface14dev 2019-04-30 03:10

Thanks for the feedback @hubol

I really enjoyed the art style and audio. The shooting mechanics felt really good, it just felt weird to control the game with the arrow keys as well as the mouse. However other than that it was great! :)

I like how you can actually see the pixels being removed from the character and being shot out of the gun. The shooting itself felt pretty good (I think it could've been better with a screen shake or something). The music and sounds where fine. The only suggestions I have are: 1, making the jump a press instead of a hold, I didn't like how if i landed I would instantly jump again if the space bar was still down, I prefer having to press it again to jump again, and 2, having a more organized level or making it completely randomly generated. To me it felt like I was playing a randomly generated level that was the same every time. Other than those two minor things though I think this is a super solid game! Keep up the good work!

Thanks so much for the feedback @shaner421. You should be able to control the game with WASD and the mouse which might feel more comfortable, but then again I am unaware of what keyboard layout you are using.

I like the idea of loosing one pixel to shoot one bullet. The graphics are good, nice gamefeel. good work!

spaceface14dev 2019-04-30 03:18

@greenboxgames I'm really grateful for the amount of feedback you have given, thanks! I almost always see screen shake when shooting in other games, but it always feels so smooth I forget about it. I need to add that to my list of things to learn. Level design is another thing that I really should improve at, and I didn't actually consider randomly creating levels for the game. That probably would have made it a lot more interesting.

Thanks @woody-builder!

Fun game and a pretty creative idea. I like that you can only shoot so much of yourself but I found that the music became pretty annoying after hearing the same tune on repeat.

spaceface14dev 2019-04-30 03:25

Good to know @cody-foster. Creating less repetitive music is something I need to work on, got it, thanks for the feedback.

marcosshiuuri 2019-04-30 11:38

Ok, cool game.. Sometimes I get stuck on walls, but not a big problem..

Music is cool, so it's the graphics and the game is easy to understand..

Congratulations on you game for this Ludum Dare o/

I like the simple aesthetic and also killing enemies feels really good (when they explode in little particles).

benmcnelly 2019-05-02 00:17

Love that it eats away at you, and pretty good AI too. Nice work!

sparewizard 2019-05-02 02:28

Definitely a visually interesting way of spending your life to attack!

aplite 2019-05-03 12:42

I love the fact that you can bounce the bullets off the walls. Really fun game!

Really cool idea, I like the core mechanic a lot. The running and shooting feels nice and responsive as well. The bots were a bit on the "hawkeye" side but if I was able to shot first, I usally got them. The art and sound were a bit basic, but worked nontheless. My main issue and dealbreaker were the jumping controls. It seems, the jumping height did not really work with the platforms in the level. I always got stuck on the ledge and couldn't make some of the jumps. Which even lead to being stuck in the bottom right corner of the stage. I don't know if that was an oversight or has something todo with my monitor running at 144hz. Wouldn't be the first time on this jam, that some games did not work well on my setup.

Nontheless, well made game!

Really cool and fun little 2d shooter. Great visuals and music, only issue would be that you get stuck on the environment trying to jump quite often.
