A good game! I had a good time playing it! But it would be so much easier to play and I think it would get a better rating and more people would play it if you could play the game directly in the browser.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD44 → Action RPG without proper title

Thank you @davidus ! Yeah, I think it's most convenient too. I'll consider that next time depending on which engine I wanna go with ^^
Most games are made using either unity or godot. It's good to see some games made with RPG Maker.
Thanks @lomna ! I kinda feared that people would critize it because using RPG Maker is somehow lazy ^^' People who don't know the basic RPG Maker won't see how much additional code was put in there. (Even though I was really lazy and reused most of my scripts xD)
Aaaaaah RPG Maker XP sure brings back a lot of memories. I like what you've done with the turned base combat. Unfortunatly, as you said it's pretty complicated to get through the levels because it's quite hard even at the start. Though I think it has good potential :) Good job guys. BTW I had a crash at the start of the game after saying NO to the old guy the NO again.
Thanks for the hint @entropy ! There are two events representing the old guy and after setting up the troops I forgot to edit one of them ^^' It's simply trying to put you in a fight, that doesn't exist anymore.
Nice title, great effort and work delivered. Hope you had a blast this ludum dare
The game crashed on me after I answered that I didn't know how to fight, playing as a thief: Script Game_Troop line 30: NoMethod occured. undefined method 'members' for nil:NilClass (maybe the same crash mentionedd above?)
Playing as a fighter without asking about fighting did not crash. I like the mood and graphics. You're right about the balancing though. Dying is very easy! I'm not sure how the scoring goes.
After a while I gave up, because the Game Over sequence takes so long.
@goerp I already added that to the description of the game but I haven't uploaded a new version yet. You can always come back to the guy and redo the tutorial. It's only the first dialog that crashes, because I forgot to edit the script.
@xoxo4c756c75 the crash isn't a big bother. I mentioned the crash because it might be helpful. The game is playable if you know what to avoid (and I didn't read the instructions so well the first time)
Nice concept overall! I was definitely keen to try again after losing, to a point. I think the starting area is well designed, not too big to be overwhelming, but well-organized and easy to jump back into the fray (apart from the waiting).
Very cool little Tactical RPG - liked the fort and all its interactions! The combat was pretty interesting too, and easy to control as well. Not sure how the difficulty scales, but it looks like it is pretty steep.
