Link worked for me, web vers
Great work on the art, the characters look awesome and have good animation. The first time i played the camera got backed into a wall and I could't see anything. The second time the guy i was supposed to fight didn't show up. Then i realized he was behind me slashing at the wall where i died last time. Wish I could turn around to hit him. I reloaded and was able to fight him and beat him but im not sure what the strategy is. It might be a good idea to start the player with some money so they can buy stuff right away, especially cause it's part of the theme. Maybe try to simplify next time. For example you could combine the buy screen the lobby and the stadium into one seemless experience which would also be easier to develop. Instead of multiple weapons, maybe just focus on the sword like getting new moves for it or upgrading it.
The game looks interesting at first but the gameplay is still really really rough. The controls are way off and unresponsive, resulting in a fighting system that is, in it's current state, impossible to have real fun with. The art is minimalstic but works rather well. The sound effects cover the bare minimum and don't really fit the mood. The ui looks like it was made for a different game, it doesn't fit the aesthetics of the rest of the art, so there's yet more to work on.
Without free movement, a strategic fighting system and camera control, the game is barely playable. At least I couldn't get much out of it in the state it's in right now. Well, I hope you still had fun making it and learned a lot :)
Hello. You did a cool entry which deserves more ratings. The game is maybe too slow and you should increase movement speed. It fits the theme when buying items. Often I use the same lowpoly man. I would like to hear some music and sounds. Well done. I recommand to you to rate more entries so as to promote yours. I wish you the best ++
Looks like you had the same idea as me. Unfortunately the links don't seem to work.
The links don't work for me neither, just like jintsen said. Please mention me if you fixed them.
It says: `The requested URL /ld44Downloads was not found on this server.`
The web version does not work. :(

All the links were broken for me.
Broken links
I think I fixed the links. I apologize for the inconvenience.
Links are working now. Thanks. Movement is very floaty and the combat feels unresponsive. You need to be able to cancel animations or give some feedback on why you can't attack or block. Also if you can't turn, the opponent shouldn't go behind you. It happens when you lose. I got stuck in a loop of continuously fading out when I won at one point. The transitions are far too slow. Also your money takes a while to update once you get back to the equip screen which is odd. A reasonable start for a compo entry but definitely needs more work to be a fun game.
Nice little fighting game. The blood effects were cool and the sound effects were realistic. Seems like the sword swing animation could have been a little wider.
I tried a couple times but as far as I can tell I was never able to successfully block. By the time I saw my opponent telegraph his attack by the time the parry animation started he had already swung and hit me.
I liked the graphics.
Unlike other players, I was able to get the block to work, but it still seemed pointless, it was better to just mash attack. It's nice that the sound effects tell you a little bit about what's going on, but obviously could've done a lot more with that. I didn't realize where the health bar was, at first. The screen-turning-red effect seems to not be affected by your health total, i.e., if you've bought a lot of health, the screen turns very red long before you're dead.
At the end of the day, you've got one-on-one combat that just isn't very good; there's not much to do and the optimal tactic seems to be to spam attack. There's a lot of roughness around the edges, but making the combat exciting and fun should be your first priority if you work on this or something like it.
