Very hard game, I couldn´t get a handle on using getting onto match velocity. It is tough to hit an asteroid.

Marking asteroids seemed to be pointless at first, but the fact that it is getting darker was a nice twist.

@gilborn I am glad someone noticed that, i was kind of worried that the effect wasn't clear enough. The brightness was dependant on the energy of the transport ship. I actually added the marking asteroids feature with the intention to make it easier to see the asteroids that are behind the transport ship.

Wow! This done in 48 hours is CRAZY!! Great Job. I was glad, that I installed java for this. The game has an amazing style and vibe. Really liked the look of the transport ship and the UI. Your escort game is MUCH less annoying than mine :P The voice-overs fit perfectly for the mood. Had some Starglider/Elite flashbacks while playing it. Way to hard for me though... I always failed after the first couple of asteroids. Great game!!

A nice base for a space shooter game, my favourite genre, but it's really, really hard! I tried around 10 times but could only manage to mine 2 asteroids before I died for one of the reasons. It's rather difficult to navigate in this space. I acknowledge the correct physics. I like how you made the sounds, yet it TOTALLY needs a shooting sound and a few more effects. A bit of UI work, maybe a planet or a star in the distance to help with orinetation and it'd be awesome :)

It's fun to play. Good job.

I really don't know what to do :(

c1fr1 2019-05-04 17:48

@yahub have you read the written tutorial and/or played through the audio training?

Really fun time killer game. Maybe it’s just me but my brain doesn’t want to stop playing for a while each time I pick it up

Very impressive for 48 hours, especially not using an off-the-shelf 3D engine.

I feel like the asteroids being so small / so numerous makes the game seem overwhelming - perhaps it'd be easier if they were big, slow and few in number to start so it's easier to get a grasp of the core gameplay, then more, smaller ones could spawn to ramp up difficulty.

I think it lacks some simple space/dreamy music in the background but i guess you didn't have time to add that.

I didn't know what should i do in the game and catching asteroids seemed really-really hard, also the variety of asteroids size and mass was missing to me, i'd love to see a gigantic asteroid fly near me in the game. I think that would add to the atmosphere and mood.

This is a very impressive entry and an awesome submission for a game jam! Definitely needs some polish but this could be really dope if you keep working on it! :)
