Ok. So, I think your game looks FANTASTIC!!!! I had a hard time getting the controls to work on mouse and keyboard. w,a,s,d actually wouldn't work so i started over and it started working. I'm guessing you tested more on a controller. (which is fine!!) Also, there was no exit button to close your game. I still ultimately think you did Awesome!!!

The game is impressively beautiful. The physics is really good to me. However as the giant god get no food all the screen shake as hell. Making a hard time to recognize what he needs and also annoying.

You did awesome guys ! I had a really good time

I agree with what's been said already, the game looks fantastic, but doesn't have any way to pause or quit which is annoying. The time limit to get the head stuff is very short, and every time you fail the screen shakes more and more until it's just not fun to play. Also the objects are really small and hard to see, which makes finding the right one even harder than it should be. Great concept, but it could definitely use some polish.

When I saw a gif of your game, I really wanted to try it out! I like the idea, though the controls felt unresponsive, it felt like there was some delay in movement which made it hard for me to grab certain items / not fall off the platform. Also, for some reason my screen kept shaking and shaking, which made it pretty hard to play, combined with the delayed controls .

Still cheers for the looks and the idea! (I played it on a keyboard btw).

I might have missed it but was there a way to exit the game to the main menu / exit the game entirely? I kinda threw myself into his mouth to try to suicide (since I wanted to start a new game).

I thought the game was visually pleasing. The audio / music was suiting. The game play seemed fairly intuitive. However, I had some difficulty just aiming and throwing stuff into Jum Jum's mouth. I also wished that there could have been a speed boost, perhaps with a cool down feature so that you have to use it sparingly.

beautiful scene, and good animation, when playing this game, I really want to give the stone man a punch, can you design a bomb so I can pick it up and explode the stone guy away hh.. and the shaking makes me a little sick

lukas-leder 2018-12-04 09:01

@jdelaay025johnd1788 Yeah main menu is definitely something we missed :D it was on the list but i think we didn't have enough brain cells last night to add it ^^

lukas-leder 2018-12-04 09:03

@almighty-games it's funny we initially had planned to add positive buffs to the player when he brings the right item (like speed bosots), but as the luddum dare progressed the time was short :D

lukas-leder 2018-12-04 09:09

@dkallan yeah we kinda ditched on the main menu part :D but we haven't experienced delayed controlls

Really fun game to play, probably even more fun with other people. It reminds me of a nice family board game. Solid entry.

Art style looks fantastic! loved the chewing animation!

odlog-oglog 2018-12-05 13:14

Very nice little game :) ,I know that's how it's supposed to be but the God is changing what he wants really fast

lukas-leder 2018-12-05 16:52

@odlog-oglog actually these are all hints for the same item, until he shows the silhouette and then the real picture, and then a new item is picked, we had a few people beeing confused by it ^^

kitarraman 2018-12-05 20:59

I loved the art style. I played it alone and that's what probably led me to enjoy not as much as I thought. Good physics and fitting audio, though I Wish there were more sfx. Controls aren't responsive as they should be on this type of game.

subtlydramatic 2018-12-05 21:26

Awesome that you can play with 1-4 players! You did a really great job with the graphics. I'm looking forward to trying it out with a controller later. :)

skiddings 2018-12-05 21:54

The game looks great and is a fun idea but I two big problems: I struggled to consistently pick stuff up and it seemed like most of the time he was asking for stuff that wasn't in the level. The time to feed him was pretty short too considering how fast you moved. Close to being really really great!

lukas-leder 2018-12-06 10:12

@skiddings yeah we had the problem taht many people think, he wants a single thing every time he changes his bubble, but actually it's the same thing he asks for he only starts giving hints for a new one till he actually shows you the picture of it.

lukas-leder 2018-12-06 10:17

@subtlydramatic Glad you liked it! Playing with a controller is way more satisfying!

lukas-leder 2018-12-06 10:20

@kitarraman yeah, we don't have anyone that can do music, currently working on improving in that regard! Regarding the responsiveness, did you use a controller or keyboard, couse we have a few people saying it and can't figure out where it's coming from.

kitarraman 2018-12-06 20:11

@lukas-leder I used my keyboard. Had to mash a few times the enter button to start the game, tbh

lukas-leder 2018-12-07 10:48

@kitarraman did you join via space bar before you pressed enter? :D if so i'll definitely look into it

kitarraman 2018-12-07 23:10

@lukas-leder that's something I don't remember, sorry

hitchh1k3r 2018-12-21 04:50

I was pretty sure the idol... (**spoilers**) !> ..was going to ask me to jump in at the end, but then he didn't, and I was a little disappointed.

 I really liked how the idol gave more clues to the items as time went on. The graphical assets were a perfect fit for the theme.

:bug: The idol kept asking for a lute (I think -- brown, music, lute shaped) but I could not find one, so I had to reset until he did not ask for it.

:point_right: The movement felt a bit floaty, and picking stuff up didn't feel like it always worked when it should have. The keyboard controls were also all over, which made it a bit hard to place my hands. Sometimes I would throw something and it would go out of the world, or get stuck in a tree.

:star: Overall great job. Thank you for making this!
