I loved it!!!
I like this, my only issue was that I seemed to get some odd collision once in a while that prevented me from moving.
I saved a Kakapo family with my bare hands thanks to you buddy.
Thank you for share the Kakapos situation. I liked the game and the message!
Love the interpretation of the theme, sharing the issues with the Kakapo population! Love the visuals and music - especially the metal gear type getting caught sfx. Introduction was also seamless and works really well for an LD entry! Good job.
This is a superb little stealth game. I'm not good at stealth games, so I only made it to the third or fourth level, but it was a really fun challenge. Great artwork and music as well.
I also got a couple odd collisions that blocked my movement, but the music, graphics and overall mood were great! I definitely jumped a little the first time I was caught, a bit surprised by the sound effect, but I suppose that's sort of the point :) The blue tint when you're hiding was visually interesting and a good indicator that you're hidden. Great job!
Enjoyed this entry. descent stealth mechanic and for a good cause too!
The sfx and graphics are great, especially for a 9 hour game. With this LD's theme I would have expected a game about habitat destruction rather than invasive species, but the setting works well enough.
I did run into an issue with the first big cat, which just looks up and down. The area below it is navigable, but there's an invisible wall above it that killed me two or three times. I think @simplepotential ran into the same issue.
I don't understand why you chose to use tank controls for your movement. They didn't make the game any worse, they're just a strange design decision to make for a game where you play as a bird hopping along the ground.
The hitboxes were also a little bit hard to work with, both on the cat vision and the foliage. I wouldn't say they were unfair, but I think you could have been a bit more generous on both accounts, maybe making the player hitbox smaller would have helped, or making the visuals of the foliage smaller and cat vision larger than their respective hitboxes.
I did enjoy this, for the setting and atmosphere especially, and the gameplay - if not particularly polished - didn't get in the way.
Great game, love the message! I like how the art style matched between the cats and kakapos, created a cool look
Like others say, in the area above you there is something odd happening with colliders.
Great game, Beto, you have a heart of gold :3 (Also, if you clicked the link at the end, page goes south mixing with your itch.io page)
Fun game, I love the way the cat saw you! Maybe a new game can extend the lifetime of the game. Anyway, I take pleasure to test it! Great job! Beautiful game
Damn, nice stealth mechanics and hey, is that "!" song really combo or MGS :yum:
But than nice game. Couldn'T pass the big cat (the first big cat) I let it go after 4 tries.. Because 3 is a must but 4th is enough ... :zap:
Nice game
The invisible walls on the edge of the game are pretty annoying. I feel like they should be the same height all the way down. Visuals Looked great. Loved the menu transition.
I did not expect a public service announcement at Ludum Dare, but it is welcome. A fun game, but with annoying collisions.
Collided with nothing a few times (and then got caught), that was a bummer. Still, nice work! MGS sound effect made me smile.
