The controls are a huge issue imo. :(
I liked the concept but I couldn't figure out how to do anything. I picked up a meteor and built a refinery but then I couldn't seem to pick up any others?
I think I'm missing something.
Nice game! Really cool and interesting! :D
Okay, mabýbe i am a little bit too stupid for this, but i cant figure out how to pick up those meteroids or do anything but rotate this planet. Rotating feels good and the game seems to be a well done entry, but i just cannot play it. Hope you can fix this or just explain, how this games controled properly ;)
I really liked the idea, but despite several attempts at playing, it wouldn't let me pick up any meteors after the 1st or 2nd one. Between that and the kinda wonky planet-rotating controls (honestly, I think it might have worked better to have auto-rotating when you move) I think there's a lot of room for improvement. I'd love to try it again if those were fixed.
I liked the presentation and the idea but some combination of the controls and unclear instructions made it too hard for me to figure out how to do anything :(
nice concept man
The controls make it a bit more difficult than the game intends it to be, but I'm sure by now you're aware :) I'd have liked the entire planet being bright - it was often difficult to see things on the dark side and the switch between the two sides was very dramatic.
I agree with the other posters here, the controls were really hard to get around, and I couldn't really figure out what was going on :(
Aw man, I also couldn't figure out how to pick up more than one meteorite even after purchasing a refinery. I wonder, why doesn't the camera just follow the player instead of having it manually controlled?
I did like how you got a warning as to where the meteors would collide, that sort of gives you an indicator for where to go next and if the gameplay were ironed out it could be used as both a thing to seek (as in "I'm traveling to the next meteor as fast as I can") and a thing to avoid (as in "I don't want to get struck by the meteor").
Also, the intro tutorial page was really nice! I wonder what would happen if you made a game that used that kind of art style? Keep it up guys!
Nice game, Love how everything is balanced! Good luck, Don't forget to take a look at ours if you don't mind and see what it's like when we just focused on graphics in this game jam! Game Link: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/42/spacelab-42a
