Mood was great, definitely an overwhelming pile to handle. It worked much better on my tablet than my laptop. I really liked the graphics and atmosphere :) Fun to play around with, reminded me faintly of papers please.

earnso 2018-08-13 13:45

The mood was great and the had some elements of nostalgia associated which is great!

wieczny 2018-08-13 13:46

I really enjoy this music

gamejmunk 2018-08-13 13:53

Very nice game, but maybe the days are a little too long, and very big destiance between the first stamp and the place where the papers land.

quetzakol 2018-08-13 14:03

You should change the .rar to a .zip which is handled by default by Windows. I had to download a software to uncompress your game.

Otherwise I tried to play but I only had the blue stamp, the others were missing. Is that a bug or did I miss something?

EDIT: ok, I understood, you just have to move the paper when there is no square.

So that was quite nice actually. It looks nice and the gameplay is original. I really liked the intro with the phone call :)

Some remarks: the music is veeery repetitive and the days are too long. Shorter days would allow to reach the more challenging levels more quickly.

@lsummers Yeap, I just thought and I think that the stamps are really reminding Papers Please. @earnso @wieczny Thank you for your commentaries. @gamejmunk @quetzakol Got it. Thanks for your hints and really constructive commentaries.

Impressive for a weekend jam! At some point I started panicking and just threw the papers in without stamps while watching my score plummet.

firehawk 2018-08-15 05:00

@matt-tuttle Yeap, I thought about that :). And I come up with idea of leaderboard. But, I had not enough time to do that, so ))))....... Moreover, thank you for your comment.

This game is really nice and the graphics are really good

weiiswurst 2018-08-15 11:50

EXTREMELY addicting. But I found a bug in the second day: The first stack is kind-of never full! It went up to my screen height and even further...

leom 2018-08-15 12:21

Same remarks than Quetzakol above, it get repetitive very fast and the days are too long to keep us catch with the challenge (it's exactly the same problems in my own game... >< ) Graphisms are nice, great job for a compo. :)

A game reminds me a bit of "Papers, Please", with the work setting and game-play. While it has none of the story elements that's special for that game, I think this is not a bad take for a "do-things-in-the-right-order-fast" type game, and i found myself going in a quite nice Flow sorting the papers at times. As the games only focus is the paper sorting, all its parts must be fun to do, sadly, especially on the later levels with several stamps, it got tiresome instead.

I feel the game suffers from having too many steps that takes away from the game-flow. The dragging of the stamps felt like a step to much, even forcing me to re-drag it when there where several stamps of the same type was very frustrating and it just became tiresome for my wrist/arm to move around the mouse. I would have much rather have it auto-stamp just by pressing on the correct stamp the right number of times, or at-least have a select system, where after I have selected a stamp I can stamp any number of times by clicking. This can be balanced with having the papers stack faster, if it then gets to easy.

The idea for the presentation is alright, with a lot of details, however it's all a bit sloppy. Like the text's being extremely blurry, the main-menu tutorial image was tiny etc. the music was also on a way to short loop... It made it almost painful to continue playing after the first set. I also feel that the theme could have been represented a bit better, the table at the moment looks a bit to big and even with 3 stacks of papers I could still see more space, making it odd that the table was now "full". Made replace the table with a more narrow/cluttered desk to make it more clear that there is a limited amount of space?

In the end, not a bad! Great work.

@bungalow @weiiswurst @leorn thanks for your commentaries. @hauo Thanks a lot for your advices. I really appreciate them. And I think, I will follow them next time, I will do this sort of games. Thanks!

Good game! Reminds me of Paper Please. But I believe days should be shorter. Its kinda lowers the playing experience

mukult 2018-08-21 06:48

Yeah..it does have a Papers Please vibe to it. Dragging stamps can be a bit annoying. Would have loved an alternative solution to that. I did like the game though overall. Pretty fun! :)

nam-nguyen 2018-08-21 07:27

Hey Idk if Ive found a bug: if I exit the game to the main menu and start a new game, Im stuck at the score:0 screen. Anyway, very interesting game. I managed to not fuck up any document until day 3 haha. I think you executed the idea very neatly, there's not much I could suggest adding except some minor things. You can consider making the hit box for the stamps on the documents a big bigger than the real size, because the game promote fast action, which doesnt come with much accuracy. Having a bit bigger hit box makes the game more forgiving, players make more progress and thus, more addicted to the game. Another small detail is that the document on top of the pile doesnt seem to be the next document on the table. I was trying to look at the top document and react to that but that turned out incorrect. For example, the top document is a green document without a stamp, then right after finishing the current document, I will move whatever document next to the green box. If this is not what you guys intend to do, thats alright, but then change the visual of the pile to avoid this misunderstanding. I actually think it would be very cool to implement that, encouraging players to study the pattern before hand, thus feeling that he/she can be better at the game and it becomes more addictive. Overall, great entry. Well done!

Edit: The stamp dragging was a bit annoying too. Could that be replaced with keyboard controls? Like AWSD, then players make the most of their hands xD, although that takes away the originality as it reminds of rhythm games

abhis1kadian 2018-08-21 10:44

@firehawk I really liked the aesthetics of ur game and how u implemented the theme. The Visuals are so good to watch. Liked playing ur game. Do try my game too and u may like it.

firehawk 2018-08-21 15:25

@nam-nguyen Thanks for your comment. About document on top. I think it is a bug. Because when we tested it, the top document was next (we will fix it).
