very nice game and I just played it allone ^^ I think in multiplayer it is even more fun. And you have so nice Graphics.

I Think it coult be nice if your not completely destroyed if something went wrong but some parts fall of of your station.

Very nice graphics and a fun gameplay, nice interpretation of the theme. The music is nice, the thing seems competitive in multiplayer, I agree that we should be more actively hinder the progress of our enemies. Like destruction of airlocks etc. Well done!

Thanks @arqcenick thats not a bad idea, and @stames I think I will modify the post Jam version to not destroy the entire space station every time but instead give it some health so that when you damage it subtracts some of your score but doesn't restart the game. I might do the same to ships too though I quite like the idea of penalizing a lot for minor mistakes. I will have to try find a middle ground. Thanks again for playing

My friend and I hopped on your server, which worked fine despite the fact that we are both in the US. I honestly have to say, this game is incredible. The music is fantastic. My friend kept crashing into the spawn station before we could put any parts on (he's bad), so in the end we just decided that it was a co-op game and tried to build the station as big as we could. Gameplay is smooth and polished. Major respect for making a multiplayer game during a jam. The take on the theme is similar to ours, which is why I chose to play this in the first place, hahaha. This is honestly one of the best entries I've seen thus far, you should be proud. Excellent job!

i all tim thik the figure go out of cursor

seablu 2018-08-15 21:29

@rs11s21n Yeah some games do thrust mechanics that way so I had considered it, but this way just felt more natural to me. I will consider changing that again though. @hyprgloo Awesome! I'm glad you managed to play with a friend and enjoyed building out the station, I also thought it would make a good coop game and was originally just going to make the server persistent so that everyone who played just added to the existing station but this is much harder to do well in a short time so opted to make it competitive. @ceasar Thanks for playing I'm glad you had fun

rs11s21n 2018-08-15 21:36

@seablu you can bind this on another mouse button (rmb lmb)

seablu 2018-08-15 21:41

@rs11s21n That makes so much sense! How did I not think of that...

Great game! Implementing an online multiplayer game in a weekend is impressive. Good job!

micdoes 2018-08-15 23:36

Super fun, super cool, it reminds me of a .io game! but the controls confused me as you can rotate with A and D as well?

el-metallico 2018-08-16 17:31

Ok, I died about 20 times, and still continue to die somehow - but I got the idea and it's goddamn great. Visuals and music are also great. Ok, I continue to die now.

treizive 2018-08-16 20:43

The game works well and the graphics are really polished. It took me several attempts to find a dockable speed for the modules. One improvement suggestion would have been a blinking speed alert when approaching the main station. And the diagonal gates of the station cause me some trouble at the beginning ;)

seablu 2018-08-17 02:46

Thanks @micdoes, Yeah I was kinda inspired by io games and I added A and D as rotation controls simply in case people didn't want to use the click and drag. @el-metallico  it was supposed to be a challenge, but I am making it more forgiving because you're not the only one... thanks for playing! @treizive Yeah the docking speed is actually just whatever you can manage as long as you're precise enough. You can dock at full speed but its usually a good idea to slow right down before reaching the station so a warning of some sort is a good idea! While the diagonal gates were originally going to be dock-able I decided they weren't necessary. I tried to indicate which sides could be docked with the colored bands around the openings but I should have really just removed them from the graphic altogether. Thanks again everyone for playing!

**A couple more updates:** I have moved the server to a dedicated host (instead of my own PC) and have had a little more time to work on the post Jam version so it should be available soon I'm just trying to decide on the best win condition at the moment.

awesome graphics

carlos-giraldo 2018-08-19 19:30

Really cool. Enjoyed almost every aspect of it. The presentation and audio was top notch. On the controls side, I was having a lot of issues because in my brain. You aim at where you want to thrust, thus taking you the opposite direction, so I was always going the wrong way even when I was trying to adjust. Other than that, It's a great idea I would like to see taken further!

vekstr 2018-08-21 12:20

This is so relaxing. Love the zero-g movement and how the physics keep the momentum, would be awesome (and more challenging probably) if it also applies to the angular momentum. Otherwise a really nice entry!

Oh and the stout module with two parallel gates wasn't spewing particles when I played.
