First off the itch.io page you linked to had the set your own price payment option whereas (and I'm not sure if this is a rule or not) it should probably be set to just straight up free. Secondly on a more positive not I did find the game to be pretty good I liked the aesthetic and the music was good at getting me pumped up however it did kinda fall flat in regards to the controls not being as responsive as I would have liked as I kept falling into the pits I had created. Thirdly since I kept falling into holes I got a good look at the AI and it was very good almost like a 4-way online match if 1 of the players (me) was completely inept. Overall I liked the game you had an options menu which many people I have seen forgot to include my only problems was the unresponsiveness of the controls and the lack of a pause screen other than that great game.

Hey, great interpretation of the bomberman concept! It fits the theme very well. I like the gameplay and the graphics, and your game feels polished. The only issue I had while playing was that certain places of the area where unreachable, because crates bloked my way which could not be removed without blocking my way with holes. I hope that sentence was not to complicated... But all in all a very good submission!
@Rammy294 I changed the itch.io page, I overlooked that. Thanks for mentioning it!
Sorry to hear the controls weren't to your liking! If you weren't aware; you should be able to jump over gaps using Spacebar (or A/Y on an Xbox controller).
Thanks for playing!

Very dank music I like it! :D I'm wondering how much code and assets you had before the challenge? It looks really polished, also there is controller support and a settings menu!
Very well made game for a weekend's work. Nice take on the genre. I played with a game pad and it worked great for the controls. However, one complaint is that if you allow gamepad controls, it's always best to allow the gamepad to control the menu as well (it was jarring to go back to the mouse every time). But that's a minor polish issue. One thing I LOVED was how getting to the powerups or the opponents could turn into a puzzle game if the bombs got set off in the right place. It made choosing where to place the bombs when they didn't give a direct advantage an intriguing side strategy.
@realmar None! All code and art assets were made during the event.
For proof, I put a timelapse on YouTube: youtube.com/watch?v=K50OrAfUtoc (I hope this doesn't embed, I don't want to spam the thread lol)
Thanks a lot for the kind words, and for playing!

@binaryspark Hey no worries about it just trying to help. Also with the controls it wasn't that I didn't know it was I felt like the jump action didn't occur quickly enough when I pressed on the spacebar however I do have quite a cheap keyboard so that may be the reason sorry for any confusion I created.

@cresceda @binaryspark Okay then my mistake sorry for the inconvenience my fault for using a £12 keyboard from amazon haha just ignore that section of my response please
Hey I see you did your game with Unity. Consider building to WebGL next time: it's easy to host for free with github pages or similar and will make the game much more accessible.
Other than that, I have no suggestions. The gameplay and graphics are very nice and I had a lot of fun playing it :)
Edit: Also, I see that it won't allow me to vote you for humor although I found the Player 2 ascension quite funny. Maybe you should think to apply for it next time.

Fantastic submission, Played the part well, As it was a Bomberman style game, some innovation was lost, other than that fantastic gameplay, smooth and sprites (other than the chars) was great! Music had me jamming in my seat haha!
The music fits well with the game, the AI got stuck in some boxes LOL, but it is ok. Loved the art and the style of the game, good job :)

@ziovoxxer Thanks, appreciate it!
Nice twist on bomberman mechanics, you can jump, but you can fall on holes. Fresh! Loved how much you packed in even for a ld game, good job!

Great concept and lots of potential for expansion if you wanted to. Art and sound worked well to build the mood. AI was basic but functional - I would have loved a multiplayer option (hope I didn't miss that?). As one other person already mentioned, I also enjoyed the puzzle element of figuring out your routes before placing bombs. Altogether an excellent entry - well done!
That bot implementation is cool. Overall game is fun and graphic is nice
This is a great game! I love Bomberman and the twist you added is both fun and perfectly matched to the theme of the jam. The graphics look nice and the audio sets an intense mood. Also very cool you added bots. Great job!
