Love the game and the idea behind it. A bit more polish and some variety and it could be the as addictive as Tetris. :) (Highscore: 309 so far)

A fun game The idea of being able to put box on other adds of the challenge to the game and require a good organization. Good work !

At first I was confused as I didn't see any controls/help but after a few button spams I got it.

The game is simple yet addictive, I love how you can stack and move boxes around, you really have to manage where you put them and pay attention to one of them dropping on the road.

My highscore was close to Gruni's, great game, consider downloading and playing!

Really nice game.

oadt 2018-08-13 09:52

Cute and nice game. I think I would prefer if each WASD key represents a fixed direction (instead of A and D roatating)

anstabo 2018-08-14 13:16

You are right to continue developping the game, you'll only get stronger and stronger, kudos to you man.

yorisfresh 2018-08-14 17:53

@oadt thank you for your feedback, the controls are pretty hard but during testing I came to a conclusion that the current solution is optimal. and also it adds to the chalange :yum:

@anstabo thanks :)

Cool idea, those car come along really quickly tho.

albin 2018-08-15 13:16

Cool game! I would be very proud if this was my first ludum dare game :) the art is cool and the game itself is really fun to play. It took a little while for me to get used to the controls but after that it was really enjoyable. Well done!

yorisfresh 2018-08-15 13:29

@psjuk0 , @albin Thanks so much :slight_smile: I am working on an android version with better UI and powerups, so I can make it as addictive as possible, I didn't add powerups because the when there was an hour left for the compo I thought I should submit then, but turns out there was a submission hour :yum: So far testing powerups is so much fun :yum: also was my first time using blender for modeling :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

A simple but nice game, at first it was abit confusing, but the gameplay was fun.

Kinda cant see after a bunch of boxes started stacking around the road pretty badly, but that didnt impend the game alot.

Overall, good job

I loved the camera placement, and the game overall. Excellent work!

Had fun playing your game! Very well done for your first LDJAM experience! Thanks for sharing the game with my stream. Your game starts at around 6:16 into the vod https://www.twitch.tv/videos/297479036

yorisfresh 2018-08-24 16:41

@ursagames , thanks for playing :)

wfmg 2018-08-30 15:31

The idea is great, but the execution wasn't the most fun. I played the original version, as I want my review to be fair to everyone else.

I see what you're going for, but it's not very intuitive. The lack of audio is a bit disappointing, the objective is confusing, and I still don't quite understand how to avoid the car. Is the yellow ground the road? Because that's where the car goes.

It's a good submission, and for only 48 hours, but I think it suffers from dev-goggles. It's hard to understand what the player sees and thinks about one's game, and that can result in things you think are obvious becoming huge obstacles. I should know. My game suffers from that to a certain extent as well, even though I had already learned about this happening with my LD 41 game, which suffered from it even further.

Overall, good idea, could be better in practice.

yorisfresh 2018-09-01 20:37

@wfmg thanks :), the 48 hour time was not very friendly :yum:, I was coding essential features almost till the last minute and didn't find time to make the game explain itself or make the music. thanks for the review :)

wfmg 2018-09-05 06:10

@yorisfresh You ranked higher, though, and for good reason. Your product is much more of a game than mine is. Well done.

yorisfresh 2018-09-09 19:33

@wfmg thanks :yum:
