Clever! I like this better than the RTSs I've played - it feels like it's more about planning your next move than constantly reacting to disasters. I couldn't get the research cards to play, for some reason - clicking one and clicking on the yellow clipboard just made a staticky noise and put the card back. Regardless, though, nicely done!

@mahalis Thanks for the feedback! The research cards require Intelect, you need to build a Design facility first, collect some Intelect and then play the research cards. If you have a Marketing building it will also consume your Intelect.
The game definitively needs a better UI to give that type of feedback to the player. We are thinking on ways to improve it and we'll probably continue the project after LD. :)
Interesting game - it was a bit too complex for me and the user feedback of exactly what was happening was hard to decern. After playing for a while it started to come around to me, but there were so many mechanics up front a slower introduction to the cards and what they could would have helped me out. Keep up the good work!!!
I played this one for quite a while! I think there's a great concept here, and think that with some work on the UI and on balancing decks (perhaps by having the player create their own decks and by giving them specific objectives? i.e. earn $10000 by x date or something) this could be a gem!
I really liked this entry - well done!

Maybe it's partially because I haven't really played many management games, but I found this game to be VERY difficult to understand. Other than a wall of text explaining the rules, you are just kinda thrown into things with little to no indication of what to do. I think that having 5 different resources to manage, 4 different categories of cards with varying uses, *and* multiple building types with different functions is just too much complexity thrown at the player at once. Also, it's a bit confusing asking the player to "Fail Fast" while also calling the end screen a "Game Over". If all games end in a game over and I want to fail the fastest isn't the best strategy just to skip 5 actions and get fired immediately? Overall, I'd say your concept is good but for the quick play-ability of a typical LD game a lot of content would need to be cut/re-worked.

@Articulated9 Thanks for the feedback! Appreciate you liked the game and concept. We are already working on better UI and other stuff, but the LD entry shall remain the same. After the voting ends maybe we can post a new version. :)
@Sky Yes, the game requires a lot of UI improvements to help the player understand what's going on. Management and strategy games are usually "overwhelming" to make it have many possibilities and many possible outcomes, so there's no "perfect move", you are always choosing and comparing pros/cons from a wide variety of possible moves. The "Fail Fast" name is just a joke within the game's thematic entrepreneur-ish style. If you like reading entrepreneur type of material, there's plenty on the internet explaining what's "fail fast". In summary, it's just the concept that you need to try something and either succeed or let it fail fast so you can pivot to another idea, so you are constantly trying, pivoting, changing ideas, approaches, etc, it doesn't mean to literally "fail" at your entrepreneur journey, it's just to let bad ideas to fail fast (and don't consume a lot of resources if it's doomed to fail anyway). That's our first LD entry ever and we appreciate your feedback, we'll try to either cut features or work more on UI the next time. Thank you!

@Rocktavious Thanks for the feedback. We really rushed the UI on the last part. Like, we laid down the idea, worked on the engine in total isolation from the UI and then adapted the UI as fast as we can to have at least basic information available to the player. We'll certainly put UI with a higher priority on next LD. Thanks!
Well my feedback on twitch wasn't very original haha, I guess everybody likes your game once they understand it. Try to make a few super simple levels with very little mechanics first and then introduce them slowly. It's the weakest link in your game, which is too bad because it's the entry point and the rest of the game is really nice.

@SpaceMonkey thank you for the feedback!
Amazing work! The game was confusing at first, but once I got the hang of it, it got really fun! I never technically finished my round, but I think it could have taken me an incredibly long time to officially lose, as all of my materials were increasing and I had a lot of buildings/building space to work with! The music was charming and fit the genre very well, and everything seemed really balanced! I especially liked how you were forced to use negative cards, and the "skipping" system. I really loved this! Great job!

@Chaseplays thank you for the feedback! We will keep doing more updates for this project!
I love the look/sound of this game. Interactions are also very well displayed. The only part I feel could use a little polish is explaining what's going on. I feel like I got a decent understanding after playing a few times, but didn't feel the turns/main interactions were very intuitive. Still, this game looks beautiful and I love the idea and direction. Overall, Great job :)

Really love this game I think the map could have been zoomed in a tad more and the cards could use better varity ( or maybe pay x amount to hold the card for some many turns)

I just love this sort of management type of games, although I would only prefer a bit bigger models for the buildings etc. Other thatn that great job, it looks nice and it plays well :)
Mine doesn't look as nice as yours but it's still worth checking out :) https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/sam
