This was certainty a unique combination. I thought it was pretty fun and I liked the music and art as well. It was a little buggy, but a strong concept nonetheless.

in this event i found card games are really fun. Great job with this one!
Please, take a look at my game too: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/confessional
I don't see the theme very prominent here. That said, it's a very solid game, the graphics and music is great and pushes the mood. I love the 3D pond, even if it does nothing to the game itself.
A deck builder would of course improve the game, but that's a huge pile of work.
Again, I have to say card based games are really trendy on this LD
Outdoorsy on first attempt! I can forgive some of the lack of instructions since you noted you would post them later.
You were along the same lines as us, we wanted to make a unique deckbuilder and I personally wanted a fishing one too. Yours is a pretty unique take, it's not quite a normal deckbuilder but it has some different elements like how the hand and lake all work, I don't even know of an analogy except maybe like.............mahjong........... lol. The bottom portion of the game was iffy and harder to grasp but the top portion was fantastic and a great way to represent fish-reeling points. GJ finishing a card game in this timeframe by yourself, I know our group was coding right til the very end cuz of all the corner cases and such!
Nearly choose these two genres! Wait for the Windows version.
Seems like a really neat concept if you took it further! I like the general idea of it, but it was kind of hard to figure out, and there were some bugs. Notably, at one point I tried to play something from the tackle box after I drew a card, but something strange happened and I drew another card on top of the one I'd already drawn, which was kind of confusing. Still, I liked it overall!
I really enjoyed it! The game could use a bit of balancing, and it definitely needs some better visual feedback for what cards do and where and how to use them, but after spending a round or two with the instructions open in the other tab I started really getting into it. The individual rounds can feel short, but probably exactly the right length for the amount of content there. It got very interesting once I was more familiar with all the cards.
For any issues it has, I think the fact that I kept coming back and playing more speaks for itself. It gets its hooks into you.
Game bugged out really quick... dragged one of the cards from my deck up towards the lake and it caused a card to draw while having a card still on the screen. Not sure if it was supposed to? Seems like an interesting game though. Good work! Would you mind reviewing my game? https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/ld41-jam-game
