Great !
good game! Look like 2018 is breathing in my face! good idea good realisation!
I'm not sure what is happening here. Even with the explanation for those spinning diamonds, its a little hard to parse the logic with the disappearing diamonds, dying when the lights are out, and the switches. UE4 does make everything look really pretty and those 3D models look really nice though. Wasn't a fan of the audio but good job on making your own tunes!
Awesome, reminds me all the projects by Zachtronics due to its logical rules! It's easy to detect the use of UE4 judging by file size of the archive, which is a bit too painful to download, so I recommend to decrease it somehow.
Awesome effects, really purdy graphics and i love the boolean logic puzzles, having the levels change on amount held was pure evil, but really clever
The graphics were amazing and I also liked the music. Using logic gates as a core game mechanic is a really cool idea but unfortunately disappearing elements work counter to a logic game. Especially if you have no way of knowing which things disappear when. The HP mechanic is a good way to speed up the gameplay but since the punishment for losing is simply restarting the stage and losing is almost inevitable for most the levels the desired effect is not achieved. Though with some work this could be a great game.
This is really interesting. I liked the puzzles, although they were quite easy. The mechanics are not quite clear, one level had an explosive disappear just because i picked up a diamond.
The game had a high graphical fidelity, but aesthetically it was lacking. The particles seemed out of place, for example. You could have gone for a less elaborate representation, although i think it would lose something if reduced to 2D.
And i would have liked some indication as to what i would do when pressing e, maybe some highlighting of the affected object.
The gameplay and concept are really nice. Good job.
The particles are pretty, and have funny/amusing shapes. The puzzles are interesting, and I appreciated the mechanic of choosing when the "timer"/health starts running out. The music was busy and distracting though- something more mellow and spacey would've helped concentration, and better matched the clean scifi visuals.
Overall it is a nice looking game with intresting mechanics. It is not really clear what each puzzle element does and the music is not helping getting a good look (not calm enough).
Maybe some sound effects and bigger rooms would make this game more relaxing.
The graphics are overall nice, though at some places objects stick out becouse of bad blending and style matching.
Really sweet game. Graphics were very cool and made it feel very claustrophobic. It was hard to read a lot of puzzles at first, but none were confusing or frustrating. I beat all the puzzles, and it was mildly difficult, but towards the end I feel like it leaned too much on throwing a ton of connections for you to untangle. It was always pretty easy to work backwards to figure out which gems needed to go where. The timing based ones with buttons and ones that required you to hold onto lots of gems and risk your life were the most interesting.
The game is interesting and the puzzles are cool. However, I think that the appearing/disappearing is hard to grasp, and sometimes it's very confusing. Also, sometimes, the behavior of some of the elements wasn't that clear to me.
I think that with some polishing, the game can be made way more clear and enjoyable.
The graphics are obviously good-looking, but I don't really know if they are necessary. What I mean with this is you can remake the game with simpler graphics (decreasing the huge file size in the process!) and make it as fun as it's right now (or even more fun!).
I do think that this entry may be worked into a full game, as the concept is appealing. The thing is that some of the mechanics (like the disappearing) may need some reworking.
You asked the question "Should I extend my gam to a full title?", and my reply is, if you are so much in love with you game, that you can't make your self stop thing and/or working on your game, the answer is yes else no.
But here are some of my thoughts about the game:
Good: - The game is super pretty. - The gameplay idea is really interesting.
What could have been better: - I am so sorry to say this, but the music is really bad. In fact it was so bad, it nearly made stop playing your the game. For me puzzle music needs too be more relaxing. - For me the game mechanics was too complex, but in a full version of the game, where the player has time to learn the game mechanics, this is not necessarily an issue. - The puzzle rum was too small for the more complex puzzles. - When you die/failed in the game, it is really difficult too see what you did wrong. - In a full version of the game, I would like to have some kind of interesting story.
I liked the core concept of the game. That being said, I think a 3D implementation in Unreal was a little excessive. I think this would have worked at least as well as a two-dimensional puzzle game (or maybe a 2.5D game since your 3D assets do look rather nice). I also had trouble at times figuring out what would appear or disappear by taking crystals; I think you should find a way of showing that more clearly (or include your current identifiers in an instructions page with what each crystal's purpose is). Finally, rather than instantly respawning the player when they die, I would add some identifier indicating cause of death, because sometimes I couldn't tell what actually happened to me.
Overall, you have a solid start to a game here, and if you want to make it into a full game I think there's enough material here to work with, provided you fix some of the more glaring issues (and get better music). Good work!
