Nice! I really enjoyed exploring around, as well as the effects on the enemies!

GETTING THOSE COINS WHILE FALLING AND GETTING SHOT AT IS IMPOSSIBLE IMPOSSIBLE I SAY

But really, I like the varying design of the screens. Plus those dynamic lighting effects on the candles, that's pretty nifty. Even if they're not dynamic, they tricked me into thinking that, so that counts as well.

One thing I'd note is that the game opens a terminal, and according to the terminal, something's not right with the icon. I only get the Godot one as well, so I dunno.

Glad you two are enjoying the game !

And yes, the coins you get in the fall are probably the hardest ones to get. Also the torches actually are dynamic, I just did not set the characters to have shadows from them, I should have though And for the terminal thing I imagine I had to change the default icon, but it is weird that leaving the default one is considered an error

First time I tried to launch the game it instantly froze. Had to force exit but on a second try it worked. While playing what annoyed me the most was that the protag wasn't facing the mouse, so I wasn't able to actually walk left and shoot right. The movement also felt like if I was swimming through jello, but it wasn't all bad. Overall if you fix the aiming and tuned up the movement a bit, then it would be a nice little enjoyable platformer.

The game is not designed to be played with the mouse, shooting was originally done with any control key, but I added mouse1 as a last minute QoL thing

Good thinking with enemy knockback, makes them more fun to kill

Level design could use work - sometimes you have a line of sight to everyone on the screen and can just spam shoot to kill them all at once, sometimes you enter a new screen and fall into green sludge right away

Are there no checkpoints?

The sign that marks a downwards route is somewhat easy to miss

Coin healing could be stronger, it's practicaly a non-factor and I've found no other way to heal

Gave up at the room where all lights dim out and there's seemingly no way to get out.
