Beautifully presented. Simple, yet fun. There's not a lot in the way of strategy or tactics available but I had a great time playing against a real character.

this really tested my greed :p
simple and fun :)
Oh wow! Such an original game, I would like to see this as a board game in real life!
First of all, the game idea is so innovative! I’ve won like 3 times now, and I feel so happy about myself :D
Concerning the graphics, I really loved the artstyle! Everything fits so well together. I’m impressed. Concerning the audio it was kind of relaxing and the dice sound was so satisfying!
I have to complain about one thing though. In the information box you wrote die instead of dice :/
Overall I reeeeally enjoyed this game and I had such an amazing time playing it. This is my favorite game so far! Thank you so much for this experience and good luck in the future! Have an awesome day, and I hope to see you in the next jam!

Really great board game! Simple enough to understand the rules on the fly and really fun to play. I wish there was 2-player mode though.
Pretty fun strategy game. I do wish that there were a little more to do in terms of options. It's just the risk-management thing, so it tends to just boil down to taking a few hexes and not pushing it too far. Having the terrain have different abilities or something could add some more strategy beyond just taking hexes. The art and sound were pretty good, and even though it's a bit simplistic, I did find myself getting pulled in and playing it several times through. It's fun and engaging even as is. Good job!
I love playing strategy games and I love making strategy games. And this is a really fun little strategy game, and I have already used way too much time in this, and I am not sure if am done with it yet. This is absolutely my favorite LD40 game until now, and I have played/rated about 75 games now. The only thing I would change in your game, is a better explanation of the rules when the game starts, and I would really have liked a two player option.
The latest strategy I have made was "The War Against Darkness" and it is a bit like yous. Mine is inspired by games like Risk and Civilization, and it is a two player game. If you or anyone else is interested, you can find it here https://gamejolt.com/games/TheWarAgainstDarkness/295717 . And if you or anyone else is playing it, you are super welcome to leave a comment on the game jolt page.
the game is a bit too slow, wish it had more dynamic. Don't really like games that rely on randomness but this one was quite nice
This is a nice little game. The strategy is not very complex, but the character I play against makes the experience a lot more fun than it would be without him. His fingers tapping, and the comments he makes, along with the subtle music, it all creates a nice atmosphere. I played until I won, and learned I am a filthy being.
Good job!
The key part of this game is that you have chosen a great idea! Simple and consistent, it creates an interesting gambit system that balances the strategy/lucky ratio. The core idea is solid and the only thing I have to concern about is the lack of content (which is not a huge problem when talking about a JAM game). Overall your game is neat and well polished!
Wow! I really enjoyed this game and found myself playing multiple times! Honestly, I don't have much feedback for you. The graphics were great, the audio made sense, and the text was nice. If I had to tell you something to change, I would say to have different map options. This game was amazing, you did a very good job!
This is neat - as others've mentioned it could use a bit more depth, but it's a kind of simple, pleasant, meditative experience. The artwork is really charming too. Well done!
The graphics and overall presentation are top notch here, but unfortunately there seems to be little depth to the game. The maths of how many squares to select is complicated, but should probably be solvable, and I'm curious as to whether anyone has already figured that out. Either way, despite the simplicity of the game, I enjoyed the opposing character enough to have fun with this game.
Hey really good! I love the way you used the mechanic of betting to conquer the territories!
I love the detail that went into this game. The fact that the other guy can insult/taunt you and even changes his body language to match. Really made the game a fun interactive experience. It would be nice the loud explosiony noise didn't happen when the friend also rolled too low considering it works in your favor, but I feel like that is nitpicking considering the game is already fun to play and well thought out. Good work!
Nice game, technically sound. The main push-your-luck mechanic is nice and it fits the theme. I feel that it could be a really good game if you added some more rules..as of now it's a bit simple (as a board game fan, I would love to see some more strategic decision making). Other than that, the art is really nice, the game is well done and the music creates a nice mood. Well done!
I have played 307 of the Ludum Dare games, and for me, your game was overall the absolute best game that I have played.
