Super impressed with the level of content you managed to pack in here, especially with the incredible presentation and polish.

It's a shame there's no music, making the game feel slightly less intense than it deserves.

Absolutely incredible work!

(Think I might've encountered a bug with the Earth boss, I had killed it even though it somehow still had health, leaving its tank tracks behind and resulting in me looping around the planet)

I'm really impressed by the amount and variety among all of the weapons. They all look, sound, and feel both distinct and great. The visuals are definitely the highlight of the game for me. The pixel art is just so detailed and the animations are incredibly smooth. That explosion effect in particular is fantastic! I was disappointed by the lack of music, which left the soundscape feeling very empty. This is a jam game, so you could have just used some royalty free music if you didn't have the time to make any yourself. The gameplay itself is pretty good. It can be a bit slow paced, but it builds up when you're dodging a whole bunch of bullets on screen at once. I think I had the most fun in the game when I just turned on all of the upgrades from the start and rained down hell fire on my foes. I also love that you were able to include bosses in your game. So few Ludum Dare games are able to include bosses, and these bosses really give each level a climactic end. That being said, I need to address the game's one major flaw: how punishing it is. Booting the player back to the title screen and undoing all of their progress after just one hit is absurd and takes away any chance I had of making significant progress in the game. I get that this is supposed to be a sort of bash your head against the wall until you finally break through kind of game, but it just feels awful to beat a boss and then have that all taken away by just one single hit at the beginning of the next level. At least all of the levels are accessible from the start, so I did get a chance to play all of the levels. Even though the difficulty prevented me from making significant progress, I enjoyed what I got to play and this is definitely a great entry.

great pixel art, really love the art and the visual effects. Looked very polished! I didn't like that you immediately die after hitting the wall or a bullet. But overall I really enjoyed playing it!

holy god damn you don't even know how much i love this game. you have no right being this great at pixel art. everything is so *beautiful* i just had to take screenshots, and subsequently die, every 5 seconds. There's so much polish and content, the gameplay perfect. Yes, it is quite difficult, but i don't really think it's that bad. its not artificial difficulty, and there hasn't been a situation i could deem impossible to get out of, even with no upgrades.

I'll definitely be playing this in my free time trying to beat it. I think this is probably my favorite ld game i've ever played

Also, I think this game definitely deserves some screenshots or gifs on this LD page.

Great art, it really matched the game! Sad there's only sound and no music, it could be a great combination. The game is difficult, yet fun, however I didn't get the relation of the game with the theme... I did have much fun playing it, great work!

cool use of the theme, although i found myself just resetting the game -> pick a different level -> enabling all skills... Art is really good, i especially like the explosion fx, so niceee. The sound gets annoying FAST, I'd recommend randomly offsetting the pitch or make different iterations of the same sound. adding music would also help of course, but that's a lot more work.

Fantastic graphics and gameplay. The variety of abilities available is impressive, as is the level design and the fact that there are three levels, with bosses to boot! This was also a non-typical take on the theme, which I enjoyed. Picking out which abilities to use on which level added a new dimension to the game. The only problem I have is that a single death forces you to restart the entire game rather than just the level you were on. As such I didn't "complete" the game, though I played all three levels.

Great work!
