You can try to install Open AL to see if it work. :)
I try on a brand new computer and if the game Crash at start, if you install Open AL, the game is working. Sorry for those who have try my game before.
Fun game :) Oldschool vibe.
This was really well done, the only thing I wonder is how does this relate to the theme? If you're doing it by retro gameplay, that is a nice twist, Anyhow the feel and everything is there it is good. The shooting mechanics was good on its own and the art style matches really well. The difficulty curve is great and the final boss was quite the challenge. I actually flinched once in a while when I almost died. Good work overall.
Yes, it's relate to the theme by the retro gameplay. Tank you for your comments :)
yea after OpenAL it works now!!!
I liked the game, art style, sound matches quality of the good old space ship shooter games.. Top class is the enemy ship movement and perfectly increasing difficulty over time. Though couldn't able to defeat the boss after few tries. May be you can add some features like shields, health upgrades, diff types of enemy ship, tiny bosses before final one..
Good old arcade shooter. Really feels like one, from graphics,to sound and music. At first I didn't realize that the to kill count was for the boss to appear and just try to not miss a single enemy. Good entry overall.
super rigolo :)
Nice and difficult shooter, as it must be a good shooter! Reached 93650 points but didn't kill the boss.
The only thing that can you make confuse is the color of the bullets: both player and enemies (including boss) are blue. Just changing the bullets from the enemies ships to green for example, and red for the boss, will make it more clean although the bullet hell.
Good job!
@paruthidotexe : In a future version I will add this kind of things.
I'm agree with you @namu for the bullet color. For a next version, I will do that.
Tank you everyone for the comments.
Nice game, but lacks my favourite feature from the old scroll shooters - drive. The art is nice and music creates the right mood, but in it's current state it's just too, you know, not entertaining to watch and feel your bullets hit enemies (althought different and interconnecting waves of enemies appearing is close to this feeling).
My suggest is to increase speed of almost everything in game (player, fire rate, enemies speed, player bullets speed).
Also, my resolution is 1366x768 and bottom part of the game window wasn't visible. Not a big deal, but maybe you should consider decreasing screen size on a lower resolutions.
@Mr. Chelnoque Tank you for your comments. I'm agree with all of what you said. I will take notes about that for a next version. Tank you again :)
@stenol, good luck with upcoming versions than, man
Allways liked this kind of games. It's addictive and challenging. I like a lot the music! Good work!
Cool game, reminds me a lot of Tyrion. Had fun playing it.
I agree that different color for enemy shots would be better. It would also be nice with a shield that could take some damage before you die, to help balance the difficulty. It would also be nice with a secondery weapon attack, something more powerful on a cooldown.
@Casevse Thank you for your comments.
@Avon At start, it was planned to have more than one type of attack but the time pass to fast in one weekend. lol. Tanks for your comments.
Good job on this one. The boss was really hard. :D But the way to him could be a bit more challenging. Besides that I had fun playing it. :)
Music is groovy, parallax background is pretty neat. I would've like different enemy types and maybe make is so you can't hold down space because it made it slightly easier.
Pretty neat space shooter. I'm not a big fan of the genre, but this was still fun. It started out pretty simple, but eventually things got interesting when more ships started firing back. Perhaps it took a bit too long to get to that point though, at least for my tastes. The difficulty curve could use some work. Generally, you want to alternate between periods of high action and periods of rest to give the player a break as the action gets more and more challenging. The game was also a bit basic; maybe power ups and health packs/extra lives would have spiced things up a bit. As far as the visuals are concerned, this game looks great. The pixel art on the boss ship in particular is very detailed. I also like the little parallax effect you have going on there with the stars. The music was also pretty good. All in all, I had a pretty fun time playing this game.
@PanicTheFirst, @Elit3dGaming, @SuperPokeunicorn Tank you all for your comments :)
I got to the boss. Nice trip back in memory lane. For a while I thought I couldn't go up and down while shooting, but then I figured out I couldn't pass 40% from the top or something. It would have been nice with some sort of feedback that it was that and nothing else. The explosions also covers ships which added a bit of difficulty not intended (I think). But in general a good game. Didn't manage to kill the boss, but at least I got some shot on it.
@local minimum Tank you for your feedback. The explosion that cover ship is a little bug. It will be fix in a future version. For the boss, it's not easy. I beat him around 30% of time. Thank again for your comments.
Nice game. The art is reminiscent of good old shooters, and the music fits that as well. I really liked the moving backgrounds. The enemies movements also feel like you're playing an old shooter, as well as the difficulty of the boss. The only thing I found a bit confusing is that the enemies' bullet are the same colour as your own. Overall, nice work!
@Crimsom713 Tanks for your comments. At first, the ennemies bullets was expected to be orange but a little bug happen before the submission of my game. It will be fix in a later version. :)
