Neat puzzle mechanics. Was having fun until I got stuck :O

Whoops, missed that one, sorry! You can reset the room from the menu, by pressing Enter.

"Can Isaac make it through these dangerous chambers? I sure hope so! I playtested at least, like, once." - made me chuckle:D.

The level in 3rd screen was hard to find! I spend a while just killing myself at the end:D.

Overall , the controlls feel good, the music nice to hear in the backgorund and there are some very cool gameplay mechanics! I really like it!

I really love the game it's nice that you can make checkpoints, the levels are fun but the symbols for X and Z are a bit confusing. Overall a really nice game.

Really nice puzzle game!

Awesome idea. After 'getting' the solution of a puzzle here there is always the execution part...where I fail miserably. Very interesting levels and I like the flying mechanic.

Cool! Yeah, nice game mechanic and implementation of the Pico-8's limited interface options (i.e. arrows and two buttons).

The puzzle-platforming got a bit tough for me, but I'm a chump at this stuff anyway.

Nice! The game has a consistent feel to it: the graphics, audio, and simple controls work really well together. The mechanic was clever, and the puzzles were hard enough that I had to think on each of the later ones, but easy enough that I could solve them all. I only wish that the book mechanic was explicitly explained, as I had to spend some minutes figuring out that I could switch to "use-the-book mode" with the up-arrow.

Such a great puzzle game! The two mechanics really compliment each other well, I honestly found myself wanting more levels at the end!

Cute lil pixel art, great sounds, good controls - can't really think of any negative feedback to be quite honest! You should definitely make this into something bigger outside of Pico-8!

I played the game for a while, great job teaching the player as they go! I enjoyed it.

Beautifully put together, and quite a bit of content. I love the mechanics of the spells at your disposal. :3

Really clever puzzles. I liked scratching my head until the end. And there was no need to explain how it works, wich made me feel smart when figuring out something. Keep up the good work !

@acotis: There's a thought-bubble hint to use up/down after you pick up the spellbook... but it's disabled the first time you press up or down, even if you hadn't found the spellbook yet. So you'll never see it if you, say, pressed up at the very start of the game to try jumping. Bit of an oversight on my part.

@johnbjuice: Thank you, and already working on it!

I really like the mechanics of the game - the music and graphics are great too. The only real problem I have is the controls - I accidentally hit the wrong key (x or z) multiple times and it was really frustrating, especially because it is something so simple.

Sadly I didn't play to the end because at one point I got stuck and accidentally reset the whole game instead of the level, and I didn't want to play through the whole thing again. :(
