Incredibly interesting - the alternative moves are totally game changing, and were fun to explore.
Just one thing, check isn't obvious, once you put the king in check, you don't have to move out of it.
This with an AI could really be something worth trying!

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that. There is no check, since this is very chaotic already :) If you were able to kill the king, you win the game. It's not quite chess because of that but it's a different kind of board game that uses chess pieces :)

Really cool idea :-) As a chess player, it reminds me a bit of fischer chess, with its randomness. Some abilities like the bishop kills anything are a bit overpowered, but I would really like to play this more and against others :-)
Absolutely brilliant. One of the best ones I have already seen on LD35 :)

Nice concept,
need some work, some rules of the real chess are missing (castling...) and the possibility to see the opponent's move (by over his pieces) would be cool (specially for the special pieces)

@dunin yeah castling is not there and so as the other things you have mentioned. I simply didn't have the time to do them man, I'm a complete beginner at programming and it was actually a success for me to code even this much :)

Great game but it's not quite like Chess (not really a bad thing)
