Sorry but the game didn't work for me, it just stayed at a picture of a wall. But by looking at the titlescreen, it looks very good.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD33 → Forest

@AdenMansonGames It should be fixed by now, ive been having a few issue with IO, unexpected problem with binaries
Well, i did enjoy the feeling of the game, and you probably could add some dangers in the future, i mean... there's really nothing that can kill you and it's pretty easy to smash all the environment around you and kill the folks. It offers no gameplay challenge but it's a good base for development.
It seems weird that I have to make a request to download the game on OS/X. But I'll surely come back to it when i can play it ;D
@Aske just fixed that! :)
Interesting sandbox game that had a spooky feel to it.
Liking the graphical style and general mood a lot. Take this project further :)
@nic thx man, the engine that powers this game is definitely living on as its one of my big projects atm and the graphic style is a style im trying to develop and am in the process of learning how to draw :D.
I liked the sound effect for picking up the gems. Very satisfying!
Odd, I could not start the game by running the .jar file. I'm on Windows. :(
The minimalist gameplay was fun to play, but I wasn't too sure of my goals or purpose.
Had the same problem as @AdenMansonGames when trying to run the game on Windows 7 Ultimate x64. Ran just fine on my Arch Linux netbook though (also x64). Comparing these versions the Windows versions seems to be zoomed in like 10x, causing the menu to be outside of the screen boundaries.
Not much to do at the moment. I guess after slaying all the "monsters" and collecting the apples(?) I was the only monster left...
@nassi I have addressed both of your comments in an update note at the top, Thank you very much for pointing all this out, i had my doubts about the ambiguity of the first level. Cheers!
Your game cant handle my 4 screens it seems. Is there a way to launch it in windowed mode on windows?
@Frozen Ninja: Didn't realize there were multiple levels. I'll come back to check them out once you get the Windows version sorted out!
Was the music supposed to start when you finish? I liked it, although it felt a bit silent through the first run. I really like how you trick the user into being a monster. Movement felt a bit weird. At times it seemed like I teleported though walls or something...? Anyway, nice job!
I like that the goal is to show the trained behaviour we display in games. It moves? Kill it. It glows? Collect it! Why? Who knows and who cares! *stab stab* *shiny shiny*
Minor nitpicks: the stats don't reset on a 2nd play through, your seconds are actually milliseconds I think and when I tried again and killed 0 creatures it still called me a monster. Oh well, we all are.
Same issue of @AdenMansonGames, OS is Windows 10... waiting for patch~
