The game worked perfectly, what a neat little missile-defense style game. I love the use of the theme, aliens being amazed by gabage, building a garbage cannon, hehe. Splendid! Good job :)

Not great, but does the job :)
Installers and game jams are an iffy combination, so if possible a directly executable game would've been better.
The music was good, but the sfx were a bit annoying since only one instance of them could be playing at any given time(?). Fridges op, nerf please.
@nassi yeah I wasn't sure the best way of distributing the game, so I'll bear this in mind for next time (although next time, I think I'll try making something web-based instead so no downloading/installing required)... I do have an exe, so when I'm home I might try uploading that and see if it runs OK on another computer.
I think the problem with the sfx is that when you're shooting, there's only a sound for when you've shot a tomato/banana (since they are useless)... but it didn't quite sound/work the way I would have liked so it is a bit odd. I just realised now that there is a bug with the explosion sfx as well, so yeah... sfx does need fixing.
Hehe, I think I'd rather buff the enemies (or if I had more time, add more variety of enemies that are stronger/weaker). But yeah, it's really as balanced as I would like, lol.
*not as balanced
GARTILLERY
Good graphics, audio, gameplay worked as intended. Would have liked either a little bit more control over what I was firing, or had an endgame come up at some point, but otherwise great entry!
I love the premise of this game, and with a little more work you could easily turn it into something special. The SFX do get a little annoying though :(
Liked the idea. Fridges are waaaay op indeed #FridgesOP #PlaneDoor
I like the idea of the alien discovering us through landfills rather than the rest.
Interesting, but somewhat barebones. The graphics were appealing for the most part, and the gameplay worked. The music felt corny and somewhat annoying, but really any music at all is a huge plus in my book. The sounds for the cannon rarely worked, so I would have opted for no sound instead of just a strange random sound every now and again.
For a first time, it's pretty good. It's not very original, and the weapon is more "looking" unconventional than really unconventional, but it's fun to play and works well. Keep on.
Really good game - played it far longer than I intended to. My only worry is that if they could replicate objects then surely they would replicate objects that would cause more damage than household items. But I can see where you were going with this. Nice implementation of a shoot 'em up.
I like the idea you got from the theme. But i find the controls a bit odd... BTW great job!
Since afaik this are the only objects that can destroy UFOs, it'd be cooler to name this game "FridgeGun" :)
PS. Obligatory "It's much better to just zip the game, than to make an installer" comment.
@Boberro All objects except the banana skins and tomatoes do damage. It's just the fridges do the most damage and 1-shot the enemies... which isn't great when there's only one type of enemy :P I did intend to add others originally.
This game wasn't bad, but it felt slow. The lack of variety of enemies meant that my mind started to wander around 25 points. I managed 75 points on my second run through and didn't feel like I wanted to try for more.
The audio was ok, but not great.
Criticisms aside, this is a good first entry for LD. :D
